---------------------Adrian-----------------------
------- Kouyate----- Nordvelt ----- Ogbonna -------
Antonio ---------------------------------- Cresswell
---------------Noble----- Obiang ---------------
---------Lanzini --------------- Payet -----------
--------------------- Ayew -------------------
Mini developing partnerships:
(Kouyate Antonio) down the weak RB area
(Cresswell Payet) quality down the left.
(Lanzini Payet) fluid position interchange & closer
(Noble Obiang) Stable CM with good possesion link up play.
I choose Nordvelt as he's here & Collins hasn't played for yonks.
Would like to see Fernandes replace Noble at some point just to see what the team looks like.
Would love Fletcher to get a chance 30mins upfront at least.

I'd have Collins instead of Nordveit personally. What do people think about Nordveit at RWB?brooking1966 wrote:---------------------Adrian-----------------------

Re: West Ham Utd vs Stoke: match thread
I remember when Stoke first got promoted to the Prem, the players all looked like a team of plumbers called Dave. I half-expected their flabby butt-cracks to be poking out the backs of their shorts. Now you look down their team-sheet, and it reads like a list of Bulgarian and Lithuanian electricians.
Apart from Charlie Adam. There's definitely a man who should be fixing some old lady's S Bend.

It's a bit of a faff granted, but at least it's only a one off.Up the Junction wrote:It's not just our lot that are being asked to move this weekend:

I doubt many of them will be too bothered.

Would be one of Slav's stranger moves. Antonio or Fernandes in there for me.

Re: West Ham Utd vs Stoke: match thread
With all the sh#t going down off the pitch this week, moving fans, snatch squads, resignations, mayoral inquisitions and the very good form of Stoke at the moment, we could be up for a tonking.
Slav and the boys must be feeling all this and if the atmosphere in the ground turns toxic, who knows.
Hope I'm completely wrong, but not looking forward to this one. Fingers crossed.

If it didnt work out with Slav I think Hughes would be my realistic choice as our next manager.steveyrockstar wrote:Now you look down their team-sheet, and it reads like a list of Bulgarian and Lithuanian electricians.

Would like to see Oxford in the back 3 for this one, seen as though Reid is out.

Improving segregation. Sounds like a step in the right direction, to me.Up the Junction wrote:It's not just our lot that are being asked to move this weekend:

Sakho could be back in the squad for tomorrow I've heard. Going to make a decision after training today.

Re: West Ham Utd vs Stoke: match thread
I think we'll win this quite comfortably. Watched stoke vs Swansea the other night and Swansea were very bad. Stokes plan was to go long and then pick up the 2 ball and were able to do this because they are bigger and stronger. Won't work against us. Lanzini to have a stormer. 3-1 West Ham.

Hey...
Long time lurker, first time poster...
Was hoping someone could recommend a pub in Central London that will be showing Saturday's game...
Thanks in advance

Re: West Ham Utd vs Stoke: match thread
Personally I'd abandon the wing back formation tomorrow, as I don't trust Collins or Nordveidt to be a useful part of it.
Therefore, I'd play:
-----------------------------Adrian---------------------------
---Antonio----Kouyate-----Ogbonna---Cresswell---
-------------------Noble---------Obiang-------------------
--------Fernandes-------Lanzini------Payet------------
------------------------------Ayew---------------------------
I know it puts Antonio back at right back but it'll be less of a problem with Obiang and Noble covering. It's an attacking line-up, but we've not scored more than once in the league for almost two months, and need a win.
