FFS so much negativity! Take a chill pill, show some objectivity and confidence.
Re: Tottenham Hotspur vs West Ham United: match thread
Noble out (blessing in disguise?) Also think we're missing Kouyate bombing forward in the midfield
4-2-3-1
Randolph
Arbeloa Reid Ogbonna Cresswell
Kouyate Obiang
Antonio Payet Lanzini
Ayew or Fletcher
or
3-5-2 (prefer this one) Also gives a chance for Nordtveit
Randolph
Reid Kouyate Ogbonna
Antonio Obiang Nordtveit Cresswell
Payet
Fletcher Ayew
I prefer when Lanzini and Payet don't play together, as it gives more room for Payet to move about behind the striker(s)
Maybe change Kouyate for Nordtveit and put Collins as CB if you want Kouyate in the midfield
I think we'll get one point from this game as spurs haven't been scoring much lately (we haven't either)

We should just go with the biggest, fastest, nastiest bastards we have at the club. Include one bloke who can pass/take a free kick. Play them at their own game.

That was about '83 - game was over in about 10 minutes - beat them easy, good day out.JAL76 wrote:http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=wes ... ORM=VRDGAR" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

There's a difference between negativity and reality. A lot of reality setting in....but it won't stop anyone cheering our lot on!Grandad Hammer wrote:FFS so much negativity! Take a chill pill, show some objectivity and confidence.

realistically, on recent form we've been reasonably solid at the back with little going for us up front. they've been even more solid at the back with even less going for them up front.Paddy O'Hammer wrote:There's a difference between negativity and reality. you might well predict coming away with zip, but i've no idea where people are getting these cricket scores from.

Re: Tottenham Hotspur vs West Ham United: match thread
These are the type of games we win, going into it expecting a thrashing and coming out with what will be one hell of a result
1-0 to us, Ginge with the goal and only letting kane out of his back pocket at full time
I'll let you know what I smoke after the game

No one in the Premier League has beaten them yet and I think it's safe to say we won't be the first. Who knows, maybe a draw is possible. They don't seem particularly ruthless.

We will raise their game for this and really think we'll get something out of it. Also the odds are increasing that they'll lose one sooner or later.

---------------------Randolph-----------------------
--------Kouyate----Reid-----Ogbonna---------
Antonio---Nordviet---Obiang----Cresswell
------------------------Payet-------------------------
--------------Ayew------------Fletcher------------
Adrian, Arbeola, Fernandes, Lanzini, Zaza, Collins, Feghouli
Randolph needs to be given an extended chance to prove himself. Adrian is terrible when there is a big striker in the box. Would like to see Nordveit and Obiang in together in central defense. Nordveit will adequately cover Antonio and let him bomb forward down the right. Payet controls the game from the middle. Bring on Feghouli earlier if we cannot make anything happen. Move Ayew central, remove Fletcher and let Feghouli play off the right with Antonio.

IMO Payet should not start. watching him the past couple weeks he has been shocking. cant put in a good cross. Saturday he lacked everything.. lost the ball then just jogged on .. really lacking in passion.

Rubbish, Payet created 7 chances at the weekend which was more than any other player in the PL. It's the rest of the team not performing, not him.WoodfordJnr wrote:IMO Payet should not start. watching him the past couple weeks he has been shocking. cant put in a good cross. Can we move away from the "Payet isn't playing well" nonsense? One bad game against Everton he had. Most goalscoring chances created in the league this season and most chances created in the league last weekend

Re: Tottenham Hotspur vs West Ham United: match thread
can you honestly say you thought he played well.
he is by far our best player. with the team playing poor around him doesnt help .. i understand its not in his game to track back but it just looked like lacked passion or anything.

Re: Tottenham Hotspur vs West Ham United: match thread
I thought he was trying to make things happen but once again, as is the story of our season, we had nothing up front to take advantage of the passes he can put through. It's no surprise he looks amazing when he plays for France with better players, the goal he scored against Middlesbrough summed up his frustrations this season at trying to do everything himself.WoodfordJnr wrote:can you honestly say you thought he played well.

I also don't want him tracking back
