UTJ - the 'Next Match' on the home page has this one down as a 2:30pm KO when it's 4:30pm.
Re: Manchester United v West Ham United: Match Thread
Yup. They aren't exactly scoring for fun are they? The most important thing for this game I think is not to give them too much respect otherwise we will find ourselves in our own half for 90 mins. Otherwise, I really do not fear this mob at all. Even with Zlatan.DaveWHU1964 wrote:Me too. They're mediocre. So long as those last few minutes at our North London friends hasn't killed morale we can give them a game.

The line up will be whatever Sullivan wants depending on any cash that has to be paid out.
Would like to think Slav will stand up to the Dwarf ( he'll have to crouch down a bit I Know) and pick a starting 11 that has a go, but I am of the opinion that Sully interfers,

55K every home game...and cannot shift 3k at OT
Embarrassing !!
And to think some moan about not having enough points for Palace and Spurs

Don't think there are trains home afterwards and we're up there a few days later. I'm staying over but it's not that easy for most.
Be helpful, of course, if those 2 bob c**** put on specials, but that would require some outlay, an understanding of our fan base and giving a toss.

Tbf Romf I can understand it this time, I'll be there Sunday but not Tuesday even with the fact that I live in Manchester. It's the travel twice in 3 days that will have put people off I assume. If it was only one trip it would have sold out.Romford wrote:55K every home game...and cannot shift 3k at OT

Also the prices for the League Cup don't help
Re: Manchester United v West Ham United: Match Thread
I reckon 1-1 here which, all things considered, would be a good result.

The club, as usual, let the fans down with reference to making the two trips affordable like Chelsea, Arsenal or the Spuds do....but we haven't exactly had that many expensive long journeys this season so I personally find both turn-outs dissapointing tbh.
Seems like the extra 20K "new" fans don't like to travel

There are loads of trains home afterwards.......how do you think the Surrey and Chelmsford "Reds" will get back ?Doc H Ball wrote:Don't think there are trains home afterwards and we're up there a few days later. I'm staying over but it's not that easy for most.

As for us...just look at this site, people are more bothered chatting about who we should buy in a month's time than whats happening now. Or buying a stone in "Champions Place"
What has happened to all those who went up there in the cup last season ??
Re: Manchester United v West Ham United: Match Thread
I think you could be right there, I'm sure there are exceptions but with 20k extra season ticket holders you'd think we'd have no trouble taking large numbers up to both games. And how about Brady's 55k waiting list, don't some of them want to go? If they actually exist.Romford wrote:Seems like the extra 20K "new" fans don't like to travel
Personally I'm just going to the cup game, would have loved to stayed over long enough to do both but it's obviously not always possible.
Re: Manchester United v West Ham United: Match Thread
Wheres the best place to head before kick off? Heading down from Glasgow for this.

2 trips and prices indeed.Slacking student wrote: Also the prices for the League Cup don't help
All in for me on Wednesday is £175. Before food and drink. For 1 game of domestic cup football.

Re: Manchester United v West Ham United: Match Thread
why? if those 20k extra season ticket holders were interested in going to away games, they would have been doing that already.leveller wrote:with 20k extra season ticket holders you'd think we'd have no trouble taking large numbers up to both games.
if anything, already paying for 19 games might make them want to cut on away games.
Re: Manchester United v West Ham United: Match Thread
Because you would ordinarily expect that by becoming ST holders they have now taken (or are able to take) a higher level of interest and therefore that some of them at least would be prepared to travel to away games outside of London. However a lot of it seems to be down to novelty value of the new stadium (or what Brady made it out to be), the false belief that getting there would be easier than getting to UP, a large amount of ST holders that don't actually exist because they're just £99 seats that are used occasionally, etc.warp wrote:why? if those 20k extra season ticket holders were interested in going to away games, they would have been doing that already.

Re: Manchester United v West Ham United: Match Thread
We did both games (league and cup) last season, this year can't make either and immensely pissed off about it. TBH I thought we would sell out the league and not quite the cup (just because it is midweek).Romford wrote:

In my opinion the new STHs are just getting the bug and some will start travelling over time, or as many are ex-regulars maybe regain the bug.
