Nothing to talk about. Was a yard or two away, wasn't deliberate and his arm wasn't in an unnatural position unless you expect them dead straight next to their side all game. The ref had a good game, some people are finding that hard to accept it seems :D

How he stood

Make no mistake, if it would have happened in our area, it would have been a penalty, and no-one would complain.

A penalty for me. A soft one yes, but that would have been given up the other end everytime.
It doesn't make it right, but would have changed the game.
However, can't be disappointed with a point and let's knock 'em out the cup. :scarfer:

In that picture all 3 players have their arms sticking out, you can expect people to play football running around with arms straight by their sides, although as others have said if the boot was on the other foot :o

I'm not sure how people expect footballers to run with their arms flat by their sides? Unnatural position? That would be one.

Who took that stupid free kick of ours that led to a breakaway for them and almost a goal?

Did MOTD show the stone wall Rojo red card? Probably not, can't believe more wasn't made of that, instant red every day of the week.

Colours never run wrote:Of no coincidence that we see this well earnt result out this time with Noble on the pitch, when we were crying out for him last week to steady the team which was on course for victory. He gives the team a steady calming influence and for me it's infectious which runs off on the rest of the team. Shame he weren't about to call upon last week.

Because he's 'one of us' everything he does goes under the microscope and amplified, which isn't fair to him. We don't scrutinise every other player as much as him, even before he was Captain. For many their expectations of what they expect of him every time is too high.
Crazy talk, Noble is bang average full stop, smell the coffee jeeez :asleep:

Was that the kick to Sakho's head? Dangerous play, when he couldn't possibly claim he didn't know Sakho was there - certainly a caution would be the normal punishment and some referees would have sent him off.

He was stood still though.

Anyway, done with this. It was a pen for me, we didn't get it. Just like we don't get any decisions up there.

Nolan's 'offside' sprigs to mind.

Pleased with the point FWIW.

Yeah, without a doubt red for me, high and dangerous, lack of care, caught the player, can't believe more hasn't been made of it.

Some serious bleating going on about some decisions. I think we just have to move on. I really don't think we were treated harshly by the ref. I thought he had a great game.

The yellow for Rojo was fair and a penalty for the handball would have been harsh.

You look are turning into mini joses!

You have to hand it to Nobes though, its clever how he's conned all of our last five managers into picking him every week.

It was a good game yesterday and similarly to the Chelsea, Spurs and parts of the Man City game we were not outclassed by a hideously expensive team. This proves to me that we are one or two players away from being a top 6 team. Obiang continues to be strong as does Kouyate in defense. Sakho was looking close to his best before his injury and lets hope it wasnt serious. Cresswell and Payet could walk into any team in the premier league and we are really lucky to have them.

All things considered a really good point; lucky is the wrong word as Randolph kept us in it, but Manyoo probably deserved it. Keeping things positive, we very nearly did Spurs in last week, a striker scored for us and Reid will be back to take Ginge's place.

Apart from Obiang I thought we were pretty non existent across the midfield. Payet, Lanzini, Antonio all very quiet, not able to keep the ball. Hopefully Sakho is ready for Wednesday; like him or not, we need him.

As for the penalty, exactly the same thing happened in our box, neither were a penalty. We had plenty of decisions go against us last season, but plenty on here have called that a 'clear penalty'. Was it f*ck, ref didn't put a foot wrong today.
