Do we have any defenders capable of defending?

I think this will be another four goal haul for our opponents.

f*** this 3 at the back b*llocks

i wanna see Payet in the middle with Antonio and Ayew on the wings

Maybe even play a false 9

Randolph
Nordtveit/Arbeloa Reid Ogbonna Cresswell
Cheik Obiang Noble
Antonio Payet Ayew

Obiang and Noble spray the ball forward, Chiek, Cresswell, Antonio, Payet and Ayew all bomb forward whilst everyone else stays back, get people in the box (like Antonio and Cheik) and just boot it at their head

When at matches I make a point of counting how many players we have in the oppositions box when the attack is from open play .

We rarely , incredibly rarely ,have more than 2 , frequently it's only 1 .

slav “Cresswell’s injury doesn’t look that bad. His groin felt very tight and hopefully it’s just fatigue from Sunday. With Antonio, hopefully it’s the same but we don’t know yet."

Will be a terrible shame, but I think our lack of RB options will cause us to use Kouyate to 'do a job'. I think he has the quality and attributes to do well there though.

Also, just assuming with our luck we'll hear that Cresswell and Antonio are injured for the rest of the season. I don't think 3 at the back works always, and it certainly won't without those 2 as wing backs.

Hopefully we can find ourselves still in the game before bringing Carroll on

Arbeloa Reid Ogbonna Cresswell
--------------Obiang
----------Noble Lanzini
---Antonio Ayew Payet

Subs: Adrian, Masuaka, Kouyate, Carroll, Fletcher, Nordtveit, Samuelsen

Antonio & Ayew interchanging. Carroll & Kouyate to come on and bully them for the last 20

Wenger rested virtually his entire first team last night, so Arsenal have a fully fit and well rested squad, whereas we had a tough, midweek encounter with a few picking up injuries, After last Sunday, I actually gave us a chance of getting a result, but now, I think this might be tough for us, with their superior fitness winning the day

Part of his problem is, he's got no-one to hit the ball to.

We need to get rid of Calleri and Zaza, spend some money and bring in two very good proven premier league strikers.

Do you count the opposition players in our box when they're attacking? Our defence frequently looks overran by them. The oppositions defence never looks like being in that position. At the moment, I reckon a team playing against us could easily get away with playing 2 full-backs and 1 central defender.

I think this might be our best option. Kouyate could probably do a good job at RB, he bombs forward well and he's doing well defensively in the back 3 at the moment.

It's a sad day when a professional football club has neither the personnel for a back 3 with 4 in front nor the personnel for a back 4.

This season....Carroll fit, Ayew fit, Sakho injured...Carroll fit, Ayew injured, Sakho injured...Carroll injured, Ayew injured, Sakho injured...Carroll injured, Ayew fit. Sakho injured...Carroll injured, Ayew fit. Sakho fit...Carroll fit(nearly), Ayew fit, Sakho injured.

Byram fit, Antonio fit. Byram injured, Antonio injured.

Cresswell injured, Masuaku fit. Masuaku inured, Cresswell fit. Masuaku fit, Cresswell injured.

Bla bla bla ffs.

Am I right in thinking that we started with 3 at the back last season against Arsenal - then reverted to the usual 4-2-3-1 at half time as the 3 at the back wasn't working?
