West Ham Utd 1-0 Hull City (17/12/16)
The last time I started one of this we lost 3-0 to Reading and Kebe pulled his socks up
Randolph
Nordtveit Reid Ogbonna Cresswell
Obiang Lanzini
Antonio Ayew Payet
Carroll
West Ham 3-1 Hull City Antonio x 2 and Carroll.
12th in the table over the past 10 games, we're on the up with the games against the top 6 out of the way.

Re: West Ham vs Hull: Match Thread
Not sure about Nordtveit at right back, but the rest of the team is spot on imo. Exactly what I'd select.
If we were to go 3-4-3 then:
Randolph
Kouyate Reid Ogbonna
Antonio Obiang Lanzini Cresswell
Ayew Carroll Payet

Re: West Ham vs Hull: Match Thread
I'd like to see us be more brave in this one, more confident and assured. When we defend don't mess about and when we attack make the opposition run scared for their lives. Hopefully this is a real morale boosting 3-0.

Randolph
Nordtveit Reid (c) Ogbonna Cresswell
Obiang Kouyate
Lanzini
Antonio Payet
Ayew
And before anyone picks me up on not having Noble, it is purely because he is knackered and could do with a rest, plus i want to see how this midfield three works

Re: West Ham vs Hull: Match Thread
I think it'll be a better game against Hull. A colleague watched them at Tot last night and said they tried to shut up shop and it backfired. I think they'll be more adventurous coming to us as in reality it is the easier of their 2 London aways in a week. Hopefully our creative players get a bit more time and space to perform.
Another really big game for us. Hope some of our quieter "fans" up the effort a bit in creating an atmosphere but I won't hold my breath.

A win against, a team of North London cast offs, on our way to comfortable mid table mediocrity for the rest of the season.
With Captain (match winner) Mark Noble the first man on the team sheet.

I'd go with this except for Carroll/Fletcher in for Ayew.Crouchend_Hammer wrote:Randolph

Must win game, performance would be nice but just need the 3 points.

Re: West Ham Utd vs Hull City: match thread
Am I the only one who thinks we don't play particularly well when Carroll starts? We have to change the way we play to accommodate him and I feel like it just doesn't work. I would prefer Ayew up front with Antonio, Lanzini and Payet behind personally.

Scrappy, shitty, scruffy 1-0 will do me just fine. I know it papers over the cracks which lets' not kid ourselves are all too self evident, but hey ho, after the first half to the season, who wouldn't settle for 19 points by Xmas ?

Re: West Ham Utd vs Hull City: match thread
It's going to be ugly and very scrappy. nothing much in it over the 90 mins. I will keep my fingers crossed for a moment of class from Payet being the deciding factor but I don't think either side has more than 1 goal in them.
