2 good results and 6 points in the last 2. Meaning we have a slight cushion to go for this and go for a convincing win to get as much confidence back as possible. (hope it's not as boring as the last 2 ****ers) 0-3. Merry Christmas.

With Payet/Noble/Lanzini all playing we have the slowest/most lightweight midfield when I comes down to defensive duties in the Premier League and teams are exposing that every week.
Payet and Lanzini starting together doesn't work, they both don't want to defend and Noble has no pace.
Payet is our no.1 play maker, our Messi if you like, give him a free role, and get the ball to him to be creative. Lanzini in my view is backup to Payet, bring him on when Payet tires. A more quicker player, one who is willing to track back and tackle in midfield is what's required.
V Swansea
GK Randolph
RB Nordtveit (has been poor - but had his best game for us v Liverpool, give him a chance v one of the weaker sides to get confidence)
CB Reid
CB Ogbonna
LB Cresswell
CM Kouyate
CM Noble
LM Fernandez
RM Antonio
Free role Payet
ST Carroll

=3 points

Monterro (sic) will be champing at the bit to get at our right side.
this no gimme by a long chalk - their home form is in some contrast to away in recent weeks.
i'd take the draw.

Antonio was murdered there last year, while Nordtveit would be a bit too slow and rash. Arbeloa wouldn't know what day it was.

The last man standing for RB IMO is Eddie Fernandes.

I'm reporting live from the 114 crew free training session.

Cresswell went down and had to be helped off by the training staff, done some damage to his left ankle. Didn't look that good :(

Not from where I'm watching the match from every game this season in the stadium.
Last season maybe, but not now.
When we lose possession, watch the lack of willingness of both to track back to defend, A slow jog at best.
Can't carry 2 players doing that.

Early 2016/17 season darlings Everton are away to Leicester this weekend.

Eminently possible we could be 1 point behind them by next week.

I think we'll do better away from home and all the pressure is on them, just hope we dont sit back too much.

For anyone thinking that simply picking Carroll against Swansea = win....

....Carroll started in our 1-4 loss at the Boleyn - and didn't have a sniff

Antonio up front - and nowhere near the right defensive areas - please

Carroll off the bench
