The optimism is touching but misguided. Against two poor sides, in their last two home games, they've won 5-4 and 3-0.

'nuff said.

I think we will play well here and take the 3 points pressure kinda off a little bit. It''s about time we got a really good performance from the boys and I think this will be it. Going to go 1-3 West Ham

IMO Antonio needs to play up front with Carroll.

He has been our best striker this season except when Sakho was available and seems to be the only player who can stretch the opposition. I also think Carroll/Antonio sounds like a great partnership up front.

I feel that Kouyate needs to come back into midfield especially with Obiang suspended. Although he has done well at the back we miss his drive in midfield.

So I would go:

--------------------------Randolph-----------

Fernandes---Nordtveit--Reid--Ogbonna--Cresswell

------------------------Kouyate---Noble-------

-------------------------------Payet-----------

---------------------Carroll-----Antonio------

Nordtveit hasn't been great but has done ok as part of a back 3 and Fernandes will have to do as RWB for now.

Still devastated about the 1-4 reverse last season. That really was our CL chance. But...we did win our next game on the Tuesday!!!

Love to smash these c****.

Based on our last two performances we're going to get smashed. Not very optimistic.

If we perform as we did at Liverpool - Game on.

But anything like Arsenal, Burnley, Hull and we'll have more than our work cut out.

I really don't know any more, we underperform more often than not.

Time to ditch the 3-4-3, we are playing **** in that system, need to get back to the 4-2-3-1.

EDIT: After seeing the other posts I have changed the formation to see if this is any better

---------------Randolph
-Kouyate-Reid Ogbonna - Cresswell
-----------Noble--- Nordveidt
Antonio------Ayew---------Payet---------
-----------------Carroll-

Lanzini needs a spell starting in the bench

Ayew is nailed on to score, I'd gave him as part of a front two with Carroll

The pressure is all on Swansea, They are bottom three and they are at home. They have to come at us and go for the win.

They bear little resemblance stylistically to the up and under football of Burnley, nor the physicality of Hull. They will try to out football us.

Grim draw there last year - haven't we drawn there something like three times on the spin now? - and at our place they took every chance they created with Ayew superb for them, Antonio disastrous at FB for us - while we missed an absolute hatful. One or two of ours turned up as though they expected to walk it, IIRC,

Concentrate on keeping them to nil and we'll be grand for the three.

Obiang missing means Kouyate in midfield.

I reckon this team will win.

---------------Randolph
Nordveidt--Reid Ogbonna - Cresswell
-----------Noble---Kouyate
Antonio------Lanzini ---------Payet---------
-----------------Carroll-

The opposition have a stroll in the park when we play that.

Not having a decent right back plus Antonio being weak defensively makes us sub premiership standard on the right, other teams know that and exploit it.

Swap Kouyate and Nordtveit might be better but whatever we do we're always making and mending because we don't have a decent RB.

It's been the case for so long now that it defies all belief.

wouldn't mind him starting nordveit in obiang's spot just to **** off all the pathetic boo twats.

might be a good time to try lanzini deeper again though. swansea aren't the most physical side.
