Re: Leicester City vs West Ham United: Match Thread
Have Leicester still got a pair on ancient CB's that won't fancy running around all that much ?
If so I'd start with Ayew, Lanzini, Payet and Antonio up top - a genuine attacking 4 some .
Two in the middle , Noble and Obiang
At the back, Reid, Kouyate, Cresswell and Harvard .
Outscore them , win it 5-4 .

Can't wait for this one. Got tickets for me and my brother, confident that we can get a result, although desperately trying not to put the kaibosh on the outcome!
Looking forward to the atmosphere, a great performance and sticking those stupid masks where the sun don't shine.
COYI!

Re: Leicester City vs West Ham United: Match Thread
I am quietly confident, i just think Ranieri needs to ditch the 4-4-2. Whilst they were countering teams and getting in their faces last season it really is hard to keep that mentality up. They had an extra percentage to their performance going for the title, a real togetherness that seems to have been lost once that objective was complete.
Now, they appear to be getting bullied and outnumbered in midfield and i think Morgan has now been found out for the average defender he really is.
Away games are never easy but we are on a good run and i really do think the way Leicester line up gives us an advantage as its easier with more numbers in midfield to cut off their supply to the attackers.

They don't fancy their chances, and fear AC.

They are missing Kante big time, he is the quiet man in the team that does the business and goes under the radar, he is doing it now at Chelsea, no coincidence they are on top. ( all imo )

Randolph
Nordtveit Reid Ogbonna Cresswell
Kouyate Obiang
Antonio Payet Ayew
Carroll
Ayew and Kouyate to give us a big send off. Rest Lanzini, Fernandes, Noble etc so they're ready for more game time when the AFCON starts.

I do hope they are working on their passing before this game as it stood out as something to work on from the Swansea game.
Re: Leicester City vs West Ham United: Match Thread
Gonna be a nervy match. Despite our form, we are far from our best, but hey, so are they ! A game where mistakes are going to be crucial and whoever scores first gains a massive advantage
2-2 and Slimani sent off for simulation

Just glad the thread isn't called "Champions Leicester City vs West Ham etc. etc.."
Gets right on my tits that does.

They were actually 4-5-2 last year. Kante was worth two players. It is how they won the whole thing, by cheating with an extra man.The Gibbins wrote:I am quietly confident, i just think Ranieri needs to ditch the 4-4-2.

Re: Leicester City vs West Ham United: Match Thread
Hard to change much after last week even though I didn't think we were great still. I'd drop Carroll and give Feghouli a chance this game as he has looked lively most times i've seen him. PLus we're playing a few days later so will be nice to have a fresh Carroll to batter-ram Man U.

Nord----------Reid----------Oggy-------Cresswell
-------------------Kouyate---Obiang
Feghouli-------------Ayew--------------Payet
------------------------Antonio
Leicester fans keep moaning about their 4-4-2 formation and how they're getting overrun in midfield. This should cause them problems with pace and ability to keep the ball, except Kouyate who we know passing isn't his main strength but we need his presence. Opted for Antonio as his pace should worry their slow CB's. Means we have a fresh Noble, Carroll and Lanzini to come in for Man U.

We have won 3 important games in a row but I do see us taking a beating against these, not sure why, just got that West Ham feeling.

Re: Leicester City vs West Ham United: Match Thread
They are a shadow of the side last season, but so are we so let's not get ahead of ourselves. A result is entirely possible but Leicester's attack is a damn sight more threatening than Swansea. We must be cautious.
Re: Leicester City vs West Ham United: Match Thread
I'd agree with that. I think a point here would be a great result...SirStoneyOfBow wrote:They are a shadow of the side last season, but so are we so let's not get ahead of ourselves. Wow... just had a read... they are REALLY negative... Shouldn't they be still tipsy on last season and just saying 'f*** it'?!
Re: Leicester City vs West Ham United: Match Thread
Leicester season ticket holding Brother in Law fancies a draw. Would be happy with that. That Leicester forum is incredible, they are dreading it. Watching Vardy having a laugh in the stands whilst serving a 3 match ban wasn't that clever I didn't think.
Re: Leicester City vs West Ham United: Match Thread
f*** me. You've even put the times of each goal. Found that hilarious :lol:TheHandOfDog wrote:We have won 3 important games in a row but I do see us taking a beating against these, not sure why, just got that West Ham feeling.

The higher the fall and all of that....to go from where they were last year to now. Has to be real hard to take.Blow Bubbles wrote:Wow... just had a read... they are REALLY negative... Shouldn't they be still tipsy on last season and just saying '**** it'?!
But just to cheer them up......who did they beat 2 seasons ago when flirting with relegation....and started their incredible run......
