He only played last 20 against manure so has had time to recover and next game is next saturday. Strongest team
Respect the FA Cup - last chance of a cup run this season. Beat these money laden moaners and a nice draw and we are are our way.

Randolph
Nordtveit, Reid, Ogbonna, Cresswell
Obiang, Fernandes
Antonio, Lanzini, Payet
Calleri
if we attempt playing 3-6-1 then antonio and Cresswell will end up being pinned back for the whole game and we'll have no attacking threat out wide.

2-1 win, Payet & Calleri to score. Just going on a gut feeling as we do love a night game, just like the Chelski game. City won't be ready for us! COYIs!

Re: West Ham United V Manchester City: Match Thread
I'll be there. Feeling fairly pessimistic but I did the last time I went and we played them as well. That was the 2-2 and we were excellent.
I don't necessarily mind Calleri starting if it's in a team that looks something like this.
--------------------------- Adrian --------------------------
Nord --------- Reid --------- Oggy --------- Cress
------------------ Obiang ---- Lanzini -----------------
Feghouli --------------- Payet ------------- Antonio
--------------------------- Calleri -------------------------
I don't particularly like Payet central and I'd prefer someone with a bit more defensive ability alongside Obiang but I don't really think we have any other options.May as well just go for them. Their weakness is their defence so why not.

Had a dream it was 1-0 to the good guys with Antonio scoring in the 88th. It was also at the old girl....

Re: West Ham United V Manchester City: Match Thread
Just a quickie from me as I'm a bit busy at the moment.
Sadly won't be in attendance tonight as Friday killed it with a lack of trains back. Your stadium looks a mess so perhaps it's a blessing I don't have to share the experiences many have had! Disappointed with how badly it has been handled too.
Fairly confident given our strong away form of 7 Premier League wins this season. After a brilliant start we stuttered but appear to be back on track again. The FA Cup is an achievable trophy so I expect City to go for it. Head says 2-1 and heart says 3-1.
Good luck etc.

Thanks.Good luck etc
Our best performance of the season, and our most consistent 90 min all up for years was v Chelsea in the cup earlier in the season. Here's hoping we can match that.

I fancy us here, dunno why. Nobes being out probably not too bad for us, but we'll miss the AC option. Calleri over Fletcher wouldn't be my preference.

FA Cup still special - Cresswell
West Ham defender Aaron Cresswell says the FA Cup is still a special competition ahead of his side's third round clash with Manchester City.

Coming down from Lancashire for tonight's game with the 6 year old lad. Is there any decent places to go for a drink before the game bearing in mind I have the kid with me.

We will field a strong team
We will be mega up for it
No Relegation Roger to back peddle 100m v Toure (or was it walking 500 miles?)
Cnutflap has the result as 1:2

Mix it up a bit:
------------adrian
Byram-reid-Og-Cresswell
-edmilson-obiang-Noble
Payet---------------Lanzini
------------Calleri
Subs:Carroll, Fletcher,Feghouli,Antonio,Oxford, Nordtveit
If we want to go Crazy, Carroll for Obiang and play 442. Would also give fletcher some playing time.

Re: West Ham United V Manchester City: Match Thread
I'd like to see Toni Martinez on the bench at least, surely a reward for his fantastic goal scoring form for the PL2 squad is due? Must be a little disheartening for him, seeing some of the dross games our strikers have had. Granted it's a big step up, but how else will he learn at the top level.
As for the game, think we'll put in a decent performance but lose 2-1.

I'm actually one of the rare few (so it seems) who really rates my view at OS.... Front row in the West... But looks like we're gonna get wet tonight... Bloody roof...
