Re: West Ham United V Crystal Palace: Match thread
whatever team he puts out billicmust get a reaction if not then time to go.
we have lost 3 in a row after getting lucky with burnley and hull.
Before the match I will be going to the boleyn to pay my last respects to the old ground, have a pint in the Boleyn pub before making my way to the soul less bowl.
This I think is the best matchday experience I can have now.

Sorry but I agree with Georgee Paris, BFS will be good and ready for this one and we will be turned over for sure. Whatever the rest of this season holds Slav will be gone in the summer. .

Loose and sadly I think Bilic will be gone. Bilic has been the most likable manager for me since Bonzo (not counting Brooking's caretaker stint). For whatever reason it is not working. Do or die.

It couldn't be scripted better could it. Sam comes back to haunt West Ham meanwhile sticking 2 fingers up to Brady (I SACKED SAM).
We've not heard too much from Sam about his time at WHU, surprised, as Sam can't keep his mouth shut.

I expect a 0-2 'happy what you wished for', response from BFS.

I bet they let Palace bring that tucking drum in too.
Wonder what the odds are on 0-1 with Tomkins scoring the winner?

I fancy that we'll go with a back 3 and that Collins will play in this one. Byram in the 18 as well.

Re: West Ham United V Crystal Palace: Match thread
As you might have noticed I'm not very positive about the whole thing at the moment, and while I'm sure old hippo head will have a plan for us, I just think we might get a really positive reaction from the players. I have no doubt Bilic is on the brink and BFS will make this ugly, drag us into the trenches and we'll see how much our players are up for it and if they remain behind the manager. Draw, and Bilic survives for the 'Boro game, lose and I think he is gone while the transfer window is open for a new man to bring in some more loans but I think we nick another horrible 1-0 and relieve the pressure again

Re: West Ham United V Crystal Palace: Match thread
Exactly you couldn't make it up Sam and off course Tomkins with plenty to prove and then in what allegedly could be Bilic final match we're up against M'bro and Downing who made it clear when he left that Bilic didn't rate him and pushed him out, Ironic if he were to score their winner. Looks these should be two very critical and very hard fought games.brooking_1980 wrote:It couldn't be scripted better could it. I agree (not keen myself) but think it might be best to go back to three at the back.
It will help Carroll to get Creswell further forward into crossing positions.
I also think Reid has been playing that way in the last couple of games, where he is trying to win tackles in the area between the midfield and the defense to put us on the front foot.

Randolph, Nordveit, Reid, Oxford, Cresswell, Obiang, Noble, Lanzini, Feghouli, Payet, Antonio.
Carroll off the bench so we don't resort to starting at 0mph and launching long balls forward.
0-0, probably.

Oxford in for Ogbonna, I would seriously do that. Reid can handle Benteke, Oxford can clean up. This is a game where we could do with Kouyate at the back, or even in midfield at a push.

I can see us going back to the 3-4-3/3-5-2 setup for this one to help with the long balls over the top. Thing is if Benteke is fit you know he's gonna grab at least a goal. So it will be if we can score against a big sam team again.

Re: West Ham United V Crystal Palace: Match thread
Would like to think we have well enough to beat these, and I'll go so far as 3-1
However if we start Carroll we have to start Noble, we have to have some one who can slow attacks down to give Carroll time to get into the box.
If Carroll doesn't start go with Obiang and Fernandes behind Lanzini Payet Antonio with either Martinez or Fletcher,
I say Martinez because wasn't Cottee just over 17 on debut and wasn't Defoe just 18, we used to be a team that gave our youngsters a chance,
Now if we signed snotty I would start him over Payet Snotty will be pumped up wanting to impress plus he adds a bit of bite and it just might rub off on some of the others, I'm not saying he is a better player than Payet obviously, but we need grafters in the situation we are in, people who are playing for the team, the fans and the badge .
I deal situation or one that I see funny is Tomkins netting a 94th min winner for West Ham with an audacious headed own goal.
