the only thing I'm sure about is Snodgrass needs to start and Nobes needs a "rest"

When i went before the only place that would let us in was Yate's within a fairly close proximity but I'm sure some of the regulars know places that don't accept home tickets only.

Re: Southampton vs West Ham Utd: match thread
How about Nordshite as a defensive midfield playerwhich is his position which he has yet to play in for us. Played champions league there and a good performer in the german league. Let him sit and shield with Obiang.
failing that Kouyate in for noble snod in for feg

Re: Southampton vs West Ham Utd: match thread
I'd personally be tempted to play Masuaku left-back for this game. Apart from that nightmare of a game he had, I don't think he's anywhere near as bad as a lot make out and he's certainly not performed any worse than Cresswell this year. As someone said earlier, I'd also be tempted to play Kouyate right-back. I actually think he'd be pretty solid there.

I'm a big advocate for keeping the same starting lineup as much as possible, even if there are a couple of players who seem to be struggling. Changing constantly achieves nothing and I think we need to keep it consistent. One could well make a case for dropping the fullbacks as well as Noble and Feghouli but the only way Byram is going to be successful as our RB is by playing him there and getting some games under his belt. He will make mistakes, that's for sure, but I do like him and can see him coming good. Just needs hard work and dedication. We have to think long term with regards to him unless we plan to buy a RB which, well, who the hell knows? My number 1 RB would be Kouyate but we really need his engine in midfield, that much is glaringly obvious.
Who knows which West Ham will turn up on Saturday, but 2 days rest off the back of one of the most embarrassing shows I can remember, it could well be a deflated one.
All Southampton have to do is make a decent effort at using the space available and expose our fullbacks and they could have a good day. The WHU players' only saving grace will be their anger/embarrassment, if they channel it.
2-2 (Carroll, Snodgrass)

All depends on the selection/formation imo. They will inevitably have a cup final (and Europe) in the back of their minds.
Lanzini, Feghouli and Noble battling it out for one spot.

I've been one away this season which was Palace so hopefully my winning streak returns, I'd play the same team we did against City and swap Koyate for Noble and potentially Snodgrass over Ferg

Whoever else plays, can we at least start with Snodgrass and Antonio on their correct sides please? Plenty of time to switch it either as a planned tactic or better, improvised to confuse. But if we want to use Carroll, put our best crossers on their natural side, unlike yesterday

We've never won at St Mary's. First goal is crucial.

Unfortunately, due to the utter, collective stupidity of Sullivan, Bilic and our magnificent scouting network - "their natural side" is the RIGHT side, along with Feghouli,Tore and Ayew ! Despite being left footed, Snodgrass very rarely plays the left and just swaps over there occasionally. The only left winger on our books had a strop and left us last week.I daresay that Snodgrass will soon adapt to the "West Ham way" and play the "round peg in square hole" game.Just remember that the transfer strategy is price, star name and position ,in that order.
