Re: Watford v West Ham Utd match thread
another decent performance. clearly the better team and confidently playing with the lion's share of possession, something even last season we were always uneasy with.
the holes are there to be plugged in the summer.
gutted for mauro.

Re: Watford v West Ham Utd match thread
I had a feeling Antonio would get sent off today, he was everywhere and going after every ball he could. I have a feeling if the goal didn't happen, Calleri was probably going to come on for him, but the goal changed that, I think Slav should have done it anyway.
Ah well, can't win them all, questionable decisions from the ref always seems to happen, but at least we didn't lose.
Chelsea next, if Carroll's not fit then I reckon Ayew's probably going to start up front, but I would like to see someone alongside him.

I'm a glass half empty man on this particular point.thejackhammer wrote: Or is it a testimony to his half time team talks?
Even ludeksglove's girlfriend knows Antonio is a winger and Lanzini is a central midfielder. Not sure why they usually only play bits of the game there.

Antonio and Lanzini second half were excellent. I thought Antonio was tripped. We should have got at least 2 pens.

Its ok the board will take out a loan from Wonga to sign all those players for £30million, including wages.k-r-c wrote:No striker. No right back. No 3 points.

Re: Watford v West Ham Utd match thread
Really should have won that...plenty to be positive about in the performances of a few of the lads, but Antonio was the beast again today and deserved more for his efforts...we'll miss him for Chelsea.
Lanzini was superb 2nd half playing in the centre and Feghouli seems to be getting there.
I don't want to get into the ref and what he wasn't seeing.
Hard earned point...well played lads...now the plastics...

Bitsy, frustrating game. Dumb penalty to give away. Dumber sending off. Otherwise a good performance against a nigglingly Watford side. Snortgrass oddly poor - even then he could have had a brace. Lanzini (second half, central) and Feghouli had eye-catching games. We could have won - but it was good point in the end. If we had a right back, Noble wouldn't start. Ayew looked decent.

Shame we couldn't get a winner
Feghouli, Lanzini and Antonio were good. Ayew also looked decent when he came on. Fonte's best game for us and an improved match from Cresswell

Re: Watford v West Ham Utd match thread
Hopefully we can start turning up for the full 90 minutes.
Antonio, as much as he tried, isn't a striker and we should have learnt our lesson from first half of West Brom. His red card was absolutely idiotic from him. No excuses.
Overall I'll take a point considering how poor we were in the first half and the awful decisions from the ref/Linesman.
I will never have times like Leicester, Stoke, West Brom and Watford who tactically commit off the ball fouls and time waste in the manner they do.

I noticed that as well. Lazy reporting, no proof reading.Georgee Paris wrote:http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39012233" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Sums up the BBC, not top 6 so don't worry about the facts, just shows they make up the match report, they write what they think they should say instead of the actual facts, probably didn't even watch the gameGeorgee Paris wrote:http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39012233" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I'm in the wrong trade. It seems in the media you can do your job with complete negligence and idiocy and it's perfectly acceptable.Georgee Paris wrote:http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39012233" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

They probably had most of it written yesterday, just filled in the score and turning points afterwards.Tristan Shout wrote:.......................................

Dont like anything about Waford's style. Right up there with WBA and Stoke.
Very good away point against an ugly team
Well dne lads

Thought we did enough to win that...
I like Fonte, looks within his comfort zone.

Shots 13.
Shots on target 2.
We shoot plenty and don't work the keeper. Consistent trend game after game.

Re: Watford v West Ham Utd match thread
Loved Fonte perfectly timed 'Moore-esque' tackle late in the second half, top defending that was.
