Re: Watford v West Ham Utd match thread
Agree Lanzini central he's so sharp & clever, team should be built around him. Noble is a waste of space, passenger & anonymous as Capt/Leader sorry but I just gotta say it. We can play 442 without him in the lineup imo

We have strikers and right backs, we just don't use any of themPuff Daddy wrote:Considering we have no striker and no right back that is a decent enough result. Will take that

Antonio was the best player on the park, not Lanzini. God knows what he was thinking chucking his arm at the ball though.
Feghouli's starting to look really, really good.

Thought the ref was decent today personally. Got just about every important decision correct imo
Really good team performance that away from home. Completely bossed it

Re: Watford v West Ham Utd match thread
Aside from the first 10 minutes we totally dominated that game, was embarrassing how much possession we had and how ****ing negative Watford were - and had Antonio been less honest we should have had 2 pens, Kouyate was also a nailed on, Niang knew he'd lost the foot race and held him back. The ref booked 2 of ours for first time offences yet 2 or 3 Watford players committed several snidey fouls yet didn't get booked.
Daylight robbery and the ref yet again tried to spoil the game with some one sided decisions.

Re: Watford v West Ham Utd match thread
imagine how good we'd be if we started with a recognised Premier League quality striker... or even Championship level striker... no other club would not have a recognised striker in their starting 11, time after ****ing time....

The one thing that characterises Bilic's reign is the inability to play well in the first half. Last season, this season - we always play better in the second half. It's a blight on his management.

Fonte very good today.
Think Ayew's instincts to score goals might be important as we have a lot of players who are more about the pretty stuff and creating over just looking at where a goal comes from.

Or is it a testimony to his half time team talks?Aceface wrote:The one thing that characterises Bilic's reign is the inability to play well in the first half. Last season, this season - we always play better in the second half. It's a blight on his management.

Although we were the better team in the first half. And had a few chances too.Aceface wrote:The one thing that characterises Bilic's reign is the inability to play well in the first half. Last season, this season - we always play better in the second half. It's a blight on his management.

Re: Watford v West Ham Utd match thread
Given how much better we play with Lanzini central and Snodgrass on the wing, why do we start with them swapped and only fix it at half time?

Re: Watford v West Ham Utd match thread
despite bossing possession and looking the better side we didn't win. Cheap goal to give away and got lucky he missed at the end. We've got character and spirit and got back into the game but we are so vulnerable in defence. We equalised and then looked wide open at the back. How much of this is players out of position due to obvious shortages or poor management with tactics and formation only time will tell but I really hope it's the former
