Re: West Ham Utd vs Chelsea: Match Thread
I just want Obiang to hit exactly the same shot he did as in the Cup game. Only this time for it to go in off the post.
It genuinely was one of them most powerfully hit shots I've seen.

We've been getting caned about once a month, just hope this isn't the caning for March
Re: West Ham Utd vs Chelsea: Match Thread
Monday will be my 4th game of the season
Yet to see us loose at the bowl.. (2 cup games and the Burnley league game)
Me and my spurs mate are going. Hammer for the night for sure.
Would be nice to see us grab a victory with a good performance but right now I'd take a draw

I'll only accept a win by a 3 goal margin. Their best player and biggest goal threat is suspended. Costa - Hazard - Pedro should have an absolute field day against these small teams. Start Fab and let him work his magic.
It's really sad to see how a club like Chelsea has changed over the years supporter wise

Re: West Ham Utd vs Chelsea: Match Thread
You've got to laugh .
But I'll play along , I'll only accept a West Ham win if by a 6 goal margin made up of two hat tricks from different players , one of whom must be a centre back .
And each must be left foot, right foot, and off the bonce .
If our sixth goes in off Reids arse I'll simply refuse to ever recognise it as a win .
So there .

Re: West Ham Utd vs Chelsea: Match Thread
They won't fancy playing us, with teams sniffing around them below in the table, the pressure will be on a bit more than before whereas we've got f*** all to lose and can play our natural game without fear.
Probably a draw but I'm gonna go for another Chelsea win. 2 wins, 1 draw in the last 3 fixtures, they won't be looking forward to it.
3-2

What if it's odd Reid's arse for his hat trick?the pink palermo wrote:You've got to laugh .

Re: West Ham Utd vs Chelsea: Match Thread
Against Watford before the game I advocated passing them off the park to negate their physicality , against Chelsea , who will line up 3-4-3, I'd play a direct , aerial game .Good old fashioned 19th century football is what I would use to beat this lot .
Their record this season suggests they are marginally more expansive at home, but their away form has seen them beat some poor teams by just a single goal margin .Overall though they concede less than a goal a game , one of only 2 teams to do that this season, and score over 2 gaols a game, one of 5 sides to do that .
I expect them to be superbly organised , I thought Conte got the best out of a poor Italy side in the Euro's by being well drilled , tight and deploying classic Italian tactics , 10 out field defenders when they didn't have the ball . In short he is pragmatic , knowing the job is firstly not to lose , and secondly to win .At Chelsea he is working with a better group of players than he had as Italy Manager , so he's been a bit more expansive, but not that much .
Kante has been superb for them all season , doing the work of 2 players , but how good is he at winning aerial battles in midfield , how much can he help his team when crosses are being launched into their box ? At Leicester they had Huth and Morgan ( think Lloyd and Burns at Forest 78) to head anything away , I'm not convinced a back 3 of Cahill , Luiz and the blocke with the unspellable name can defend their box aerially as well as those .
A combination of pinpoint Snodgrass crosses , Carroll as the focal point and Obiang roughing up Kante in the air will see us win .
1-0 West Ham , not exactly the West Ham way , but there's more than one way to win a football match .

Re: West Ham Utd vs Chelsea: Match Thread
Two nil down with twenty to go, come back to win 3-2 with a last minute Reid header, Conte kicks off, Bilic dancing and falling over, pitch invasion, Costa sent off, what I'd give for that!
Re: West Ham Utd vs Chelsea: Match Thread
The quality of that chelsea team on the massive OS pitch means theres only going to be one outcome.
Cant see anything other than another drubbing. Same goes for when Liverpool and Spurs come to our place

There is nobody even moderately close to them in the table. There won't be any pressure on them.Colours never run wrote:They won't fancy playing us, with teams sniffing around them below in the table, the pressure will be on a bit more than before whereas we've got **** all to lose and can play our natural game without fear.

Re: West Ham Utd vs Chelsea: Match Thread
firstly we need to compete for this from the start. Turn up like we did against watford and we will be 2 down in ten mins.
crowd need to be up for it and fully support even when mistakes are made.
carroll wont be 100% fit so do we start him on bench or get an hour out of him.
Think he will be on the bench with ayew starting.
If all goes are way can see a 1-0 hammers win.
Keep the faith COYI

No Carroll, no point in playing.
I cannot see us getting anywhere close to them without him available Monday

We are boned, but we are in a decent position to be able to take a L.
1-4 Chelsea.
