Looking back now on the transfer window, it really was shambolic.

It nearly always is, especially in January. I'll never forget the summer of 2013 when we were playing without a striker at home to the likes of Stoke and Villa, we needed a striker, we signed clubless Mladen Petric

Re: Hull City v West Ham Utd:match thread
we have always had poor windows apart from when hartson and kitson turned up.
This season has seen lanzzini, fernandez, ayew sign up who I would say are good players.
fletcher has promise
fonte, snodgrass nordsvelt have started poorly but would seem to be good squad players
callerei,tore,zaza,fegouli are poor
some good ones, some bad ones and a few not sures !
next window we need more of the good ones 3/4 quality players.
adrian
byram kouyate fonte masuaka
fegouli noble fernandez lanzini
carroll ayew
subs randolph,cresswell,collins, nordsvelt, snodgrass,fletcher,callerei
plenty stil left in the team for a 2-0 hammers win. Gloom despatched.

They turned us over at our place, even though we won. No confidence home & away, players missing, i think they will win & we are in deep trouble.

I'd even settle for another manager ear cupping, West Ham self booing, atrocious 1 nil win

Is the goalpost fit for this one? We need him more than ever.

Re: Hull City v West Ham Utd:match thread
And there was me thinking that our season would be over by the time this one came around!
Re: Hull City v West Ham Utd:match thread
Adrian has to come back in for this one. Randolph conceding 3 goals a game, liability.
Adrian,
Byram, Fonte, Collins, Cresswell
Noble, Kouyate, Lanzini
Feghouli, Carroll, Ayew
3 of our best players out injured. Massive game though, need a win.

Re: Hull City v West Ham Utd:match thread
I know I'll probably be different come the game but right now I honestly couldn't give a **** what we do in this game, so fed up and bored am I with the mess we are, win 2, lose 3, win 3, lose 3 etc. I wish I could say it's fun and all part of supporting us but we're a joke right now, a few injuries and we're down to nothing, even if the whole squad were fit we'd probably still have players playing out of position. Maybe we need an absolute pasting off of these to finally wake up.

So would you if you had that back four in front of you. Having said that i do want Adrian back. He's served his bench time. Time to come back and be a hero againjhammers wrote:Adrian has to come back in for this one. Randolph conceding 3 goals a game, liability.

This still a good team. That is a proper back four. Noble and Kouyate can protect the defence.jhammers wrote:Adrian has to come back in for this one. Randolph conceding 3 goals a game, liability.

Lanzini can play central and create and has Feghouli and Ayew who can both make good runs off Carroll who has put himself about a lot. And there are goals there. Fegs and Ayew have shown the ability in the box. Lanzini can do it from set-pieces and if Andy gets a cross then there's always hope. I just hope we turn up for the first 20-30 minutes.

Slav will probably go for this
Randolph
Byram Fonte Cheik Cresswell
Noble Lanzini
Feghouli Ayew Snodgrass
Carroll

Noble Lanzini
Feghouli Ayew Snodgrass
Carroll

I do miss Adrian. There's something strangely reassuring about the mad b*stard.

Re: Hull City v West Ham Utd:match thread
The absolute drivel on this site this week is embarrassing.
Knees jerking in every direction. Owners, manager, coaches, players, everyone being slaughtered for something.
As I've said before, hindsight when it comes to the transfer window makes it look worse, but Zaza could've easily turned out to be a Gabbiadini, he didn't. Bad luck. But most of us were pretty excited about the signing.
A couple of weeks ago were talking about pushing for 7th, Carroll is an awesome striker, Reid can walk into any defence. Now we have people saying Carroll needs to be sold, Reid isnt good enough, Obiang is average, Antonio is rubbish, Noble is past it, Noble never had it, we're getting relegated, were the worst team in the league and our league position is a lie.
People saying they don't care anymore, they're sick of it, leave then. The team don't need fans getting on their back and knees jerking and booing every 5 minutes when something doesn't go out way.
Just support the team, they need it.

I agree with you but when did this last happen? Half time last week is the only time I can recall this season.thejackhammer wrote:The team don't need fans getting on their back and knees jerking and booing every 5 minutes when something doesn't go out way.

Re: Hull City v West Ham Utd:match thread
I think it's fair to say the team deserved the chorus of boos at half time vs Leicester, it was a poor half but second half was different gravy. More performances like the first half and we will finish bottom 5, more performances like the second half and we'll end up top 10 finish.
Luckily, we have a bit of break before Hull

Re: Hull City v West Ham Utd:match thread
There were boos at Leicester which is the last game i went to since Man City when there were also boos, and before then it was Palace where at half time there were boos.
I think that's a fair sample size
