Re: Arsenal vs West Ham United Match Thread
What has changed? A lot.
We no longer have a RB suited for this level, our stellar LB is a shadow of his former self after his injury, our captain's form has been below par for some time, we are without our best player in that line up, and our attacker is better suited to another type of football than Sakho.
I was hoping that we would revert to a classic 4 - 4 - 2 for the previous three games. We didn't.
Now I'm hoping for a 3 - 4 - 2 - 1, with a defensive trio consisting of our three centrehalves (Collins, Kouyate, Fonte), two wingbacks (Cresswell, Masuaku) and two defending midfielders (Noble, Fernandes), two attacking midfielders (Lanzini, Ayew) and one Striker (Carroll).
Keep it tight, keep it simple.

Re: Arsenal vs West Ham United Match Thread
I hate to be so negative, but it's what this club does to you over the years. I'm going for a 4-0 loss and Slav to be visiting the job centre the following day.
Re: Arsenal vs West Ham United Match Thread
Agree with that 100%. Lose to Swansea, Slav is gone, we are down. Can't see the three points we need coming from anywhere else.Jumby wrote:I fear a rout. I've written this game off, the one that scares me is Swansea at home, lose that and I think we're down, even if we win at Sunderland, which I don't think we will.
Arsenal might as well be a friendly.

Re: Arsenal vs West Ham United Match Thread
One thing noticeable about this thread is all the different team selections and formations people are suggesting. It's telling that even after 30 games nobody can say "go with our usual line up / formation". Now should not be the time to experiment!

Re: Arsenal vs West Ham United Match Thread
I am afraid that I have no confidence in us getting anything from this, but it is imperative that Mark Noble needs to be in the centre marshalling the troops.
for me we should go:-
Adrian,
Collins Kouyate Fonte
Nordveit
Byram Noble Masuaku
Ayew Lanzini
Caroll
With Nordveit almost playing a sweeper role - brave and different but I think it might surprise Arsenal and give them trouble at the back
But for me it will be a defeat - but hoping we give them a game - 3-1 to them!

If Bilic doesn't know that Randolph is causing goals by now he deserves the sack.
Nothing to lose in this one so:

BYRAM................FONTE.........COLLINS...........MASUAKU......

He is really annoying me with this one issue... It's so obvious that Randolph is not a Premier League Number 1ageing hammer wrote:If Bilic doesn't know that Randolph is causing goals by now he deserves the sack.

I'd be very surprised if Antonio was fit enough to start .

I have forgotten what it is like to have a decent striker in our team. God, why did Ashton have to get injured.

I know but I figured a one legged Antonio is better than Snodgrass or Feghoilithe pink palermo wrote:I'd be very surprised if Antonio was fit enough to start .
