Despite being ridiculed by one poster for suggesting this, I have actually have been thinking it for a while myself. Masuaku is the better defender (even though he is prone to making a mistake here and there), while Cresswell has always impressed going forward. We need to play masuaku LB and cresswell LW with both helping each other put, neither can do one job correctly so get both of them tag teaming up,
I can't be any worse a decision than letting Kouyate play right back, or Antonio up front.
Re: West Ham United v Swansea City: Match Thread
Even without our terrible run of form, this would be a tough game, tougher than a lot of us who are predicting us to win would have us believe. The Swansea revival since Clement's arrival has been fanastic for them, and lets not forget they were beating Spurs until the last few minutes the other day.
Expect nerves, misplaced passes, a wafer-thin atmosphere and jeez... I have no idea of the outcome at all. Lose and I can't see us staying up. Win and I still have worries.

A good 3 points tomorrow would be clearly welcome and my first "double" of the season , surprisingly optimistic about this one. Whilst I understand the clamour for the return of Adrian , at this level bringing someone in that has not played for such a long time might be considered a huge gamble , for an outfield player possibly not as risky , certainly Noble , Antonio , Collins all need to start a game for the brave.

Agree with CF but I can't watch that clown Randolph any longer, massive game for us, just to add a bit of spice, throw in a **** ref, like that idiot we had at Bournemouth

worried about this, keep thinking about the way they battered us at the Boleyn last year! We need to be 100% focused and not take anything for granted!
Just hope the post is in good form!
For me Adrian has to be recalled, I think the defence would maybe feel a little more comfortable with him behind them?
Going to go with heart over brain and predict a very nervy 2-1 to the mighty irons

Said to me that Slaven was saving him for Saturday. Ditto Nobes and Antonio?PC Hammer wrote:Have to go 442 or 433 forget any other combination.
Why, as this evening, take off your only striker on the pitch when 1 down and put on another striker,,,,then lose 3-0....
Reckon Slaven sees them as the men to dig us out of a hole.

Re: West Ham United v Swansea City: Match Thread
Let's face it, we will concede goals, so we may as well set up with the most attack minded team possible.
4-3-3
a Front 3 of Antonio, Carroll and Sakho
Midfield 3 of Noble/ sat behind Lanzini and Fernandes
Back 4 of Byram, Collins or Kouyate, Fonte or Kouyate, Arthur
Adrian in goal.
Atttackkk!!!!

They only battered us because their left winger had Antonio's number. I'd like to think that even Byram would provide more cover on Saturday.1860OnceMoore wrote:worried about this, keep thinking about the way they battered us at the Boleyn last year! Adrian
Byram, Fonte, Kouyate, Masuaku
Noble, Fernandes
Antonio, Lanzini, Feghouli
Carroll
Call me mental for having Feghouli there but we need some pace on this big pitch

a big game for sure.
Adrian needs to return but if randolph plays you dont boo your own. How will that help him or the team get the result we desperately need.
Adrain
byram kouyate collins masuarka
antonio noble lanzini fernandez
ayew carroll
subs randolph fonte nordsvelt fegouli fletcher sakho quinna
no place for snodgrass as he has been really poor in attitude and performance.
2-0 hammers carroll ayew

Re: West Ham United v Swansea City: Match Thread
a draw keeps swansea at a reasonabe gap. lose and we are in trouble as our lot will then lose at sunderland and home to everton. we will be in freefall then slav will be sacked also.
I fancy a strong west ham performance tomorrow.
I would play adrian collins noble antonio carroll in the team as theyare our strong characters
players like fegouli snodgrass callerei are not players you want in a must win game
fans players and manager must be fully up for this one.
get the soul drain bowl rocking !
DJ can also help with music selection need some crowd favourites heroes london calling sweet caroline madness gold . forget the cringeworthy fans prediction video.
lets get at them from the start. They are worse than us we have beaten them already and are higher in the league.
forget the popcorn and bowl problems our team needs a performance. Time to unite and win !

Aside from the Europa and Chelsea cup game, its the first home game I've been fired up for this season.
Loads of booze, loads of singing. Could be the game this ground needs.
Or we concede early and it's tutting and whinging as per usual.
Massive game!

This has Shades of us v Wigan in 2010 when Scott Parker scored that screamer.
On holiday this week so won't be there tomorrow. On that basis I'll take another ding dong 3-2 victory as above.
I don't think my heart would take it if I was there.

Am I missing something?
I thought a draw would still leave us only 5 points ahead?

Both dreading and looking forward to this one.
They will score. We will score. It will be a thriller impossible to predict.
