Ayews best performance for us since he signed (not saying much). Worked hard today. Should have scored towards the end.

I agree with the comments about Byram.

Was not a pretty game, but job done. We never really looked threatened by a poor Swansea.

The Stadium is almost bearable when the sun is shining, and West Ham winning.

How many match saving tackles did Ginge put in today? I lost count...MotM for me...though Nobes,Byram and Chiek came close. They all wanted to win for SB and us!

The back four were very good..apart from Fonte getting turned so easily near the line. I really like Arthur, Cresswell needs to take a look at how he intercepts, gets stuck in, etc rather than standing off and giving the winger 5 yards and time to take him on or get the cross in.

Dominated today.

At the back Byram, Collins and Masuaku were excellent. In midfield Kouyate and Noble did well, Lanzini shone, Ayew did fine and Snodgrass did the dirty work in tracking back. I'm sure that helped Byram.

Antonio was doing well until the injury. Calleri has ability but zero nerves in front of goal.

Fegulli did ok going forward but needs to track back.

Time to bring Adrian back.

This win had f*** all to do with Bilic.

It's solely down to who started the match thread...

Exactly this. I thought everything Byram did from identifying Sigurdsson as a threat to tracking his run and closing on him to the tackle itself was class. So was Noble and Collins congratulating him so emphatically.

Love Mad Dog. Gave me one of the best moments ever at the old ground with that Volley in the Wimbledon League cup match.

Along with when he sprinted off to celebrate a goal in front of the Bobby Moore stand - while it was still being built with no fans in it

It was refreshing to see, especially in the second half, that everyone had eachothers back out on the pitch. We haven't see us play as a proper team for quite a while but the togetherness was certainly there and at the back was certainly led by Collins, Arthur made a cracking tackle and half the team came over to congratulate him haha!

Byram and Arthur were really good today as was Calleri when he came on. He isn't the best goalscorer but his movement, workrate and holding up of the ball was brilliant, if only we have a goalscorer to play alongside him if he continues that kind of performance.

We fought and earned three points. Collins was immense. Cheikh's crossed hammers salute brought tears to my eyes. I love this club even though we can be proper ****.

I'd have him and start him

DDHammer wrote:It was a Collins display not unlike last season when him and Ogbonna were almost alternating MOTM performances. Think we should shift Fonte in the summer, he's on solid wages and Collins offers us more heart which we need at the moment. Ogbonna and Reid will be fine, really hope oggy can come back from his operation with confidence.

No I'm sorry but Collins is done. Love his heart etc but it's fine for him to go. Get another CB and have Fonte play the Collins time if you will.

On another note an ugly win. But I'll ****ing take it.
