Precisely mate. If you see a goalkeeper having to dive all over the place, blocking shots with every part of his body just to keep his team in it, there is something fundamentally missing in his game

If Pickford wants a good career he would join a team like us over Man Utd, he'll play every game and can move again when he's ready. Going to Man Utd now would be career suicide.

------------ Adrian ------------
Byram Fonte Collins Masuaku
----- Kouyate Nordtveit -----
Feghouli Fernandes Lanzini

Need someone defensive alongside Kouyate
Need some pace out wide
Fernandes and Lanzini to switch during the game

Fernandes is a definite starter for me in this game.

We need someone (in addition to Manu) with composure in central midfield.

Mackems are desperate but they are a poorly constructed team.

West Ham needs to win.

I'm hoping our confidence comes back and we stop being such a soft touch, but I don't see it.

1-0 to them or 1-1 I reckon.

A defeat for us would prolong their agony .

Everyone knows they're ready to go  , but I don't mind seeing it dragged out for a few more weeks .

Feel the pain .

Without the ball we should be in 5 4 1 formation, get 9 behind the ball.

With the ball we then break into 3 4 3 formation and attack their back line with 5 or 6 players.

We will need to get at least one quick goal to unsettle them. Cannot let the fans get behind their team.

Fernandes, Fletcher, Lanzini, Carroll, Ayew, Sakho should all be in contention for a start.

Apologies if I am missing something here Puff but isn't that exactly what goalkeepers are supposed to do?

I think we'll win. I wasn't over confident of beating Swansea at the weekend but we did what we had to and got the vital 3 points to give us a bit of clean air between us and the drop zone. Sunderland are gone, whatever the result is on saturday, and I fancy us to get a 2-1 win to more or less guarantee safety.

My only gripe is that Randolph will start. Clearly Bilic will not jettison him for Adrian and sadly, it seems Adrian will probably leave in the summer. Randolph is simply not good enough at this level.

I completely agree with you there - and it shows that Bilic is prepared to let his stubbornness overide the needs of the team/club and essentially the fans

As for the result? I don't share your confidence, I'm afraid

They haven't scored for 11 hours, haven't won in ages, have an ex-West Ham striker playing and Bilic will play Randy in goal - I you know what I'm thinking don't you..... :(

I reckon Calleri will get a start. We've got some difficult games coming and i don't think he's going to risk Carroll.

Sunderland away

Post by Skent123 »

Hi,

I am going Sunderland on Saturday. Could anyone recommend a good pub for away fans, or a pub that the majority of West Ham fans will be going?

Cheers
