Not a cat's chance in hell that we will win this. 1-3 to Everton. No matter who is in goal. Let's just get this awful season over and done with. Headbanger

We were working out on the way home from the game yesterday that we could name a WHU XI of those that won't/can't play next week that would probably beat the XI that will likely start:

----------------Adrian (sub)

Byram (sus)---Reid (inj)---Ogbonna (inj)---Cresswell (sub)

Tore (inj)---Obiang (inj)---Noble (sus)---Antonio (inj)

---Sakho (inj)---E. Valencia (out on loan)

Best thing we can do with this fixture is tap up their manager.

A more certain bet is Randolph to keep his place in goal. If you want to win some money, whack a ton on that

I think Slav will pick: ( though Randolph seems undroppable )

Is Noble still suspended then??

Surely Arthur could do a job at right back as seems comfortable with both feet & Crsswell back in at left back.

If not 3-5-2 with Reid in & Fernandes as right wing back who played well there earlier in the season.

----Kouyate---Collins--Fonte

----Kouyate---Fonte--Collins

What's with these popular picks for our back line? Have people not seen how Everton have been playing lately? They have been delivering a lot of early crosses and diagonals to the far side when they are trying to play with width. Do we seriously want to have either Fonte or Collins drawn out to Barkley's side and leave the other one-on-one with Lukaku?

And, how will the above back line deal with what got us last season? We had Reid and Tomkins - both of whom are far more mobile - getting caught out by Lukaku playing off the last man's inside shoulder. That through ball split our CBs down the middle and once Lukaku got in front, we were never going to catch him.

We should be playing a back four even if it means having Nord or Kouyate as a makeshift Rightback, and we could also do with someone man-marking Barkley and force them to funnel their midfield creativity through Davis. Davis is only starting out and is inexperienced, we should be exploiting it as a pressure point.

No 3 at the back please. We've seen this at home and it doesn't work especially with no Payet. We struggle to move the ball as it is.

I think Masuaku will have to go to right back. Hope Reid is back as Collins and Fonte just don't work. Would actually drop Fonte if Reid is available.

...............................Adrian..................
Masuaku....Reid........Collins.......Cresswell..
Feghouli.......Kouyate.....Nordtveit....Lanzini..
....................Ayew.....................
................................Calleri................

Carroll just brings nothing for large spells of the game any longer. Imo we need to run the channels and if Sakho is unfit Calleri has to start. Fernandes is too naive and soft defensively so need Nordtveit to start.

Bilic has basically confirmed on the OS that Randolph keeps his place. "done a good job for us" apparently.

Randolph is having a McKnighmare, Lukaku is absolutely on fire, possibly the best striker in the World right now based on present form, we are f**ked.

How can you publicly criticise Adrian and banish him from the first team for a couple of errors and then keep this tw*t in goal week after week despite him almost throwing games recently? Randy is in double figures for errors that have led directly to a goal, double figures, that is McKnightesque.

I can't wait for this season to end, it's been an absolute disaster, we've lost our best player, our owners have somehow managed to become bigger tw*ts than we all first thought and we're probably set to lose at least one of Antonio, Lanzini and Obiang, whilst also seeing the best goalkeeper we've had for 30 years leave on a free, for f**k sake.

looks like randolph will be playing . I cant believe this and would seem to point to contract issues with adrian. such a shame as he is a real character. werent everton looking at him last season ? better than their current GK.

randolph
fernadez fonte collins masuaka
nordsvelt kouyate
fegouli lanzini ayew
carroll

subs adrian cresswell rice quinna fletcher callerei snodgrass

not sure on fitness of reid or sakho. assuming they are out. would give reid another week as we have a few big games to come. If he is fit then drop fonte who is awful.
