It was a bit of light-hearted banter, I'll take a note to not have any jokes with you in the future, sorry. Very sensitive indeed.Ifebbubbles wrote: Have you left school yet?
Their fans hate us as they blame us for them not being a big team. I've actually heard them very words from a Southend fan. Right up there with Arsenal delusion that is.

I live and work in Southend and go to the West Ham Southend friendly every year.Ifebbubbles wrote:

I haven't heard a bad word about us from one Southend fan.
Except one who refers to us as a 'tin pot' club but can't name a Southend player so... Massive fan he is.

Also surprising to see that there are some spurs fans on them forums who don't just chat ****, some actual half decent comments about why they actually lost.

"It is amazing how many teams hate us and get up just for our matches, I honestly think the is a hint of anti semanticist to it all, certainly with people like John Terry

Re: West Ham Utd vs Tottenham: match thread
Im not sure where this idea that this was a 'Cup Final' for us comes from? We were not safe, and we needed three points. Yes, Sunderland would have done us a major favour today, but if Everton don't then it was possible that we would have been into a squeaky-bum situation in Burnley. We needed to win the game, and played accordingly. I hate the mentality about team's 'raising their game' when it comes to justifying the loss of titles and matches. Its offensive and wrong. Our players played well, and there was no reason to believe that Spurs deserved to win the game.
They have clearly underrated the likes of Lanzini, and Ayew who both played very well, while Kouyate is a top rate midfield. Ginge has always played well in his last ditch role, while Reid was immense. Adrian is a good shot stopper and proved that again.

Yeah, as soon as the goal goes in, it gets even better which is remarkable seeing as the bar was set so high, so early, on by some really special talents on that forum.Korea Hammer wrote: After the first 30 or so, reading these becomes like a sort of meditation mantra, all very pleasing.

Agreed - although most of them do appear to be over-hormonal teenagers judging by the bitterness and childish nature of some of the comments ...'**** West Ham, **** their w*nky fans!' was probably one of the more mature comments!!somerset-hammer wrote:Almost as enjoyable as the game itself.
