Anyone fancy being captain?

No Noble, No Reid, No AC

I can see it now...congratulations on your debut Declan. How do you fancy being Captain while you are at it?

The only players who deserve to start are Adrian, Lanzini and Feghouli, who i thought looked bright when he came on against the Mikeys.

Seeing as we've got a shed load of players out and we can't drop many of them i'd go with this lot:

Adrian
Byram
Collins
Fonte
Oggy (if fit enough)
Cresswell
Feghouli
Lanzini
Fernandes
Snodgrass
Fletcher

Love Ginge, but he was appalling vs Liverpool so I'd play Ogbonna, Rice and Fonte at Burnle as CBs

Snodgrass is an absolute disgrace of a "player" so I wouldn't let him anywhere near the first team - I'd keep him out of the squad and sell him for a huge loss in the summer to get rid of his wage bill - 4m to Norwich, Brighton or Bournemouth would work. I thought he was a decent January signing but he has proven himself to be a complete and utter scumbag

Feghouli shows more spirit than anyone else at the club, so he should start, Martinez if eligible and Fletcher if not should start too and I'd try Masuaku wide left ahead of Creswell

Carroll shouldn't even travel, but shouldn't concentrate on basic Chinese classes

--------------------- Adrian -------------------------
------ Fonte (c) --- Rice ---- Collins -----------
Byram ---------- Nordtveit --------- Cresswell
----- Feghouli ---- Ayew ----- Lanzini ---------
-------------------- Fletcher ------------------------

Randolph, Ogbonna, Masuaku (if fit)/Makasi, Fernandes, Quina, Snodgrass, Calleri

Sod it. I'd be happier seeing that than going all out for 12th. Sandwich Rice in between two experienced heads to talk him through it. Quina to come on.

Looks about right, though I'd be inclined to have Holland or Samuelson on the bench rather than Snodgrass who could spend the day in the pub getting even fatter

One thing I'd disagree with you on is the rice sandwich - sounds horrible and has too many carbs for my liking

Seems a little harsh - what's he done wrong? Not that I think he's done much right since joining us, mind you...

I think Lee's hit a formation I'd like to see us try, although I'd put Ayew on the left (in his natural position) and Lanzini central (in his natural position). I'm not sure if Fletcher's ready to lead the line on his own, but then again we've got naff all else, haven't we?

From Slavens words in the press conference, we could be seeing a start for Rice at the back with Ogbonna on the bench.

Did he mention any other youth players, that might get a chance?

Only seen this Somerset:
What about your team this weekend then Slav?

"(Eighteen year old) Declan Rice is one who may play - he's in the squad. He's great. He's done very well for the U23s. He has a bright future."
WHUFC.com haven't posted the conference just yet.

Bloody hell. I know he's been poor and it looks like we overpaid by about £9 million but that's well harsh. Unless you know something we don't, scumbag is uncalled for. He always seems to be good with the young supporters as well. :eh:
