------Kouyate----Collins----Reid
Byram-----Obiang----Noble------Cresswell

------------Hernandez-----Antonio
Need to go 3 at the back again and pack the midfield a bit more as it is getting walked through at the moment. Also need more pace so put in Kouyate and Byram who I thought should have played again after performing well in the cup. Should be beating these and I think we will.

Huddersfield are light years ahead of us in neerly every department. I can't see us getting anything unless we have something new.

Re: West Ham Utd v Huddersfield Town: Match thread
I reckon we will have a Carroll / Hernandez partnership for this one.
4-0 West Ham. Hernandez with 3, Carroll with 1
Carvalho and Noble will boss the midfield with Antonio and Lanzini tearing them apart.
Nope, I'm not drunk I just think that we will get Carvalho over the line, we are under the lights and everyone on Sky will be predicting (hoping) for us to get beaten. We will turn it on. It's all going to click boys and girls - mark my words

Re: West Ham Utd v Huddersfield Town: Match thread
Said it in the Newcastle match thread, I think teams see us as an easy touch under Bilic. They will target this as one of their realistic away wins, be bang up for it and have too much fitness and intensity for our unfit, disorganised lot! In the words of David Brent 'nothing ever changes by staying the same' more of the same to come I'm afraid!

Not so sure about the 4-0 but I agree with everything else.Believer wrote:I reckon we will have a Carroll / Hernandez partnership for this one.

Pair AC up front with Hernandez and those two will be brilliant, we've already seen so far how good he is at picking up scraps in the box. With those knock downs and lay offs we'll be laughing.

Could get toxic if they score first, but I am going to go with hope and I reckon we will score the only goal of the game.

Re: West Ham Utd v Huddersfield Town: Match thread
If carvalho signs:
Hart
byram collins reid cresswell
antonio kouyate carvalho/obiang lanzini
hernandez sakho
subs adrian zabaleta masuaka noble obiang/rice ayew carroll
a faster west ham model with decent options from the bench.
AC to come on for last 30 mins
I am going for a 2-0 win if we are up for it !
lose and bilic will be gone the next day

Re: West Ham Utd v Huddersfield Town: Match thread
Need a quick start in this one as finally first game at home or it's going to turn rotten.
On current form/fitness/our players:
GK: Hart
Rb: Byram
CB: Kouyate
CB: Collins
Lb: Creswell
DM: Zaba
DM: Obiang
Ram: Antonio
Cam: Lanzini
Lam: Quinna/Haksabanovic
St: Hernandez
Bit of a wildcard pick on the left either way but we need a spark from somewhere.

Re: West Ham Utd v Huddersfield Town: Match thread
one up top at home ?
hernandez with one of the crocks sakho then carroll if he makes it to the bench
we must be so easy to play against if you are a defender. only hernandez up top to worry about. little support as midfield too slow and weak. Antonio not fully fit yet.
we are at home so play 2 up top give the opposition something to worry about and mark for a change.
3-5-2 or 4-4-2
COYI
looking forward to the carpenters not sure about the match !

Re: West Ham Utd v Huddersfield Town: Match thread
I was thinking we'd be playing with 4 up top when going forward. Ram and Lam not to come back further than halfway line! Put the pressure on and force them back. Start trying to win the ball back a lot further up the pitch.
If fitness levels, attitude in training or personnel changes then it could be a different line up all together

He won't change. It'll still be the same old crap 4-5-1 that is failing us every week and which will ultimately cost him his job

Re: West Ham Utd v Huddersfield Town: Match thread
if we dont sign a new CB then reid will be rushed back and injured no doubt. his pre season was non existant after returning from injury. one pub game where he was sent off missed the city thrashing and then starts at man utd !
collins great competitor but 34 and too slow now but likely to partner reid
fonte - utter rubbish 34 slower than collins and not as competitive
ogbonna - lazy clumsy not bothered attitude. shaky at best.
Rice - who knows as we play him in midfield at present
oxford/burke - out on loan
kouyate - quick strong and ideal for a CB where he played for anderletcht but does he want to play there ?
so a right mess at the centre of defence. Put in front of that lot a non existant midfield and you can see why we are struggling.

Re: West Ham Utd v Huddersfield Town: Match thread
If Slav still doesn't go back to 3 at the back then he deserves to be sacked! I think whenever a team is struggling at leaking in goals, the best thing a manager could do is go slightly more defensive for a few games to try and bring the confidence back.
I would go with:

-----------------------Collins------Kouyate------Reid------------------------
-Byram--------------------Rice-------------Obiang---------------------Masuaku-
-------------------------------------Lanzini--------------------------------------------
-------------------------Hernandez----Antonio------------------------------------
Subs: Adrian, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Noble, Ayew, Carroll, Sakho.

Re: West Ham Utd v Huddersfield Town: Match thread
I suggest that Bilic calls up De Boer and asks him to send over a copy of the full match played between Palace & Huddersfield on the first day. Friends present in the home stands said their team were completely outplayed.
All I will say, with the match on the distant horizon, is that we will be relegated if our defence is not radically tightened up.
