What I find annoying is it's so blindingly obvious what we need to do. We need 2 mobile forwards to press teams from the front and be willing to do so for long periods in the game. It's why teams are allowed to walk to the half way line and then decide to begin an attacking move. When you press from the front you'll turn over possession a lot more than just standing off.

I also think what's hurting us is we have an aging side and the sheer lack of athleticism is a problem. Zaba nobes, cresswell and Carroll must be amongst the slowest players in the league and I'm even starting to think Reid is slowing up too. If it were up to me I'd start byram, masuaku with Hernandez & sakho or ayew up top. Antonio starts too. We need to inject pace in our side but I worry moyes will think Carroll will be our saviour when it looks as though he's purposely trying to get sent off every game.

The second Byram is fit again, I'd be thinking about playing him and moving zabaleta to defensive midfielder. Would add pace to the right, and let's face it, Byram doesn't pick up anymore yellows than zabaleta does. Would also mean we have a defensive midfielder that knows how to defend, and where his lack of pace won't be exposed so much. Until then, rice for Obiang or kouyate. Obiang because he seems a shadow of the player he was. Kouyate because his lack of technical ability really lets us down. Rice will reliability stay back and cover so this gives Noble a bit more opportunity to push forward a bit more. Either that or replace him with Fernandes. In all honesty though, it doesn't matter who I put in or how I shuffle things, we still look weak in midfield.

Winnable game this, lose this and we are really in it. Shame Hernadez is injured or he would give the two big CB's the run around, Sakho would probably be the best choice up top as they will struggle with the movement whereas Carroll will be right up Maguire and Morgan's street

Can't see any difference to the Brighton game or yesterday for that matter. Leicester will have too much pace, fitness, intensity and movement for us. I can't see where our next goal or point is coming from let alone win! 0-3, effectively down by the time the Xmas tree is getting packed away!

My birthday as well on Friday. Best present would be a win but unfortunately I reckon another toxic defeat. We are this year's Sunderland. It's hard to see where the next wins coming from. see Another relegation coming up for Moyes.

We are nothing like Sunderland, Sunderland literally had zero quality in that side

Well, I hope it goes better for you than it did for me. We played Brighton on mine.

Is Byram injured? I'm fairly bored of watching Zabaleta get caught out of position and looking off the pace.

Fernandes or Haksabanovic in in place of Antonio if he is not fit.
Sakho in for Hernandez if he is not fit

Midfield needs a big shake up but the options are appalling. Noble, Obiang and Kouyate all bang out of form but no-one else to come in centrally except Fernandes, whose tackling skills are non-existent from what I've seen. Arthur must play on the left surely. Perhaps Ayew and Antonio might be fit for up front. Whatever happens, I do not want to see Carroll ever play for West Ham again. Sooner have Sakho than him.

I agree. There is no escaping it, our midfield is truly awful.

I dont think i've ever seen 3 midfielders all play as bad in the same game as Noble, Obiang and Kouyate yesterday.

Based on our injury list:

Arnautovic (unknown return date)
Antonio (major doubt for Friday)
Byram (3rd December)
Chicharito (3rd December)
Fonte (20th Jan 2018)
Collins (major doubt for Friday)
Ayew (slight doubt, he only had illness so should be back Friday)

I'd go for:

--------------------Hart----------------------------
--Zabaleta--Reid--Ogbonna--Masuaku--
-------------------Obiang-------------------------
-------------Kouyate--Fernandes-------------
-------------------Lanzini-------------------------
----------------Sakho--Ayew--------------------

Vardy, Gray or Okazaki running at Zabaleta and our defence....

Sakho and Carroll may need to start up top together. We need to be posing some problems to the Leicester defence, because I can't see how we keep a clean sheet here.
