If we get beat here, you can put us with Swansea as two of the three who are going down. They were absolutely shocking today, as bad as anything we have produced. Their defence, which cost more than ours, is even worse. Williams and Keane didn't even jump for the two Austin headers, and both times he was inbetween the two of them. They lack a decent striker also. I actually think whatever we go with upfront we can cause them enough problems.
1-2.
1-2.

We have such a shocking record up there I just really struggle to ever see us getting anything, even with the run they are on.
If we set up solid and don’t shoot ourselves in the foot with a ridiculous defensive error, we have a chance. It is however in our DNA to be the club that keeps giving so you just wouldn’t put it past us to hand them an easy three points when they need it the most and can’t buy a win at the moment.

Should be very winnable, but the form book says otherwise and has Moyes got it in him to have us go at them from the off?
I hope we don’t go with Carroll as that is just the contest Williams loves. Needs to be Ayew if Hernandez is still not fit.
I think we beat them 2-1.

Bad as they are I just cannot see us winning. In fact at the moment I cannot see us beating anyone.
2-1 Everton. And going down faster than a you-know-what on a Saturday night.

This is the same Williams that Carroll used to bully the crap out of when he played for Swansea. He always looked terrified of Geordie Samaras to me.

Great opportunity to close the gap with a typical 6 pointer and we should be looking forward to this not fearing it. Yes it's obviously true Goodison Park is a bogey ground for us, but they are struggling big time right now with rock bottom confidence as well as struggled at home which is unusual for them.
We can't afford to lose this considering the opposition coming up and miss the chance to turn the screw on Everton in the current state they are.

As PGPete said, this is a 6 pointer if ever there was one.
Win this & we can suffer ManC, Chel & Ars a little more easily. Or even miraculously pick up some scraps in those as well. Barring ManC when I intend to be out of radio contact for the duration. Gonna be too painful.
I share all your old fears of Everton but they are no longer that team.
We have to go for a determined win. Palace winning was not good for us.

He didn't look that great against Charlie Austin today and according to our Director Of Football he ain't got no knees - Andy Carroll hatrick .

Injuries to Baines and Keane today - Baines sounds doubtful for our game, Keane too if concussion is confirmed.

The Carroll of old maybe. The non-jumping, elbows down Madam Tussauds’ version I’m less convinced he will be worried about.bubbles1966 wrote:

Austin may not be mobile, but he at least has the sense to peel off his marker rather than just back into and foul them.
I’d be more than happy to be proven wrong and let’s face it, Moyes will pick him.

Hope its not another hoofball session to Carroll.
Ayew deserves to start ahead of him upfront from what we have available and on form.
How many games can we carry on with Carroll based on form from 12 months ago, he has been dogshit all this season.... although ironic as it’s also the only time he has stayed fit.
He used to play well for 5 games, be on the brink on an England recall and then get injured for 3 months now he is fit every game but a donkey.
