Norwich wiped the floor with tem in the last round but couldn't finish the 4/5 gilt edged chances they made , im hoping we do significantly better and win 2-0

Unchanged team please...

We are on a run and confidence is high... you have to gamble in the Cups as smaller clubs like Birmingham and Wigan have found in recent years and won trophies.

1980 was a long time ago... take the risk Moyes.

We're going to absolutely manhandle this mob. We'll win 2-0 despite the referee being instructed to give them every marginal decision. Moyes will point out we could have won 4-0 in his post-match and that'll be an understatement.

Antonio may need a rest, Hernandez/Sakho in for him. Rice for Nobes if he's injured. Possibly Reid in for Collins. That's all I'd change. Can see Moyes giving Hart a start though.

Would like to see most of the players rested, the league position is far more important right now imo

We have got every chance in this, Arsenal v Liverpool on Friday night you can expect a fairly weak Arsenal side and we must be buzzing as a squad!

Moyes will no doubt have players that he would like to rest and protect but we do not have that many options. Byram and Fernandes are reportedly still out and we do not really have cover/other options on the left so it is fairly safe to assume that at least two from Zabaleta, Cresswell and Masuaku will start.

Hart, Reid, Rice, Kouyate, Ayew, Sakho, Hernandez and Carroll will all no doubt be looking for a start.

I wouldn't be too surprised to see something like...

------------------------ Hart ------------------------
------------ Reid Collins Ogbonna ------------
Zabaleta ----- Kouyate Rice ---- Cresswell
-------------------- Arnautovic -------------------
------------------ Ayew Sakho -------------------

Bench - Adrian Masuaku Obiang Lanzini Carroll Hernandez Antonio

Strong side, a few with a point to prove, very strong bench too.

Come on West Ham, let's have a good crack at this!!!

Looking forward, you've got to hope that we don't meet City until the final.

Not sure if, but over two legs, they might sneak a late winner.

Fixed for you...

They are so good this season, you certainly don't want them over two legs, ideally not at all.

West Ham v Man Utd (0-0 away and a late winner at home)
Chelsea v Man City

West Ham v Chelsea final... lovely!

(carried away? me?? No chance!)

Really looking forward to this one. Got a ticket & off work Tuesday & Wednesday.

I'm going for a 1-2 away win to the Hammers (and Man City drawn in the semi final) :crest:

Any alternatives to this? It's a tiny pub and is usually full by about 3 hours before kick off.

Decided on an 'all change' approach:

-------------Hart

Reid------Collins----Ogbonna

Zabaleta---Rice--Obiang--Masuaka

-------------Carroll

---Sakho
------------------Hernandez

Andy's brief is to basically stay in and around the centre circle, unless our front two are breaking. Use his left foot to good effect, joining the attack late. If he wants to pop down the salon, for a frizz, all the better; this is Fellaini he'll be channeling after all

Sakho and Aitch get a rare start, each, to prove they can put in the same levels of running that we've recently seen from others.

Cress and Adrian can have a breather, with Noble and Kouyate, who wont benefit from being rushed back

Any other away pubs coming in from Highbury & Islington end as an alternative for the Drayton?

Hernandez for Antonio, Ayew for Lanzini if banned, Rice to jump into Nobles spot if injured. Don't change too much, we need to win a cup.

Arsenal have a massive game against Liverpool on Friday, can see them putting out a fairly weakened side.

---------------------Adrian
----------Reid-----Collins----Oggy
Zaba-------Kouyate----Rice------Masuaku
-----------------------Ayew
------------Hernandez----Sakho

Arnie, Antonio both need a rest so fresh for Newcastle. Lanzini banned and Noble injured. Cresswell unlucky to miss out but Collins was a rock the other night and deserves a start.

Moyes will have half a mind on the frantic and often critical Christmas and New Years' fixture schedule and has a duty of care to the players to keep them fresh over this period. It is likely therefore, that he will ring the changes for this match and rest quite a few of last Saturday's team that faced Stoke.

I think he will go something like this:-

-------------------------------------------------------------------Hart--------------------------------------------------------------------

-----------------------------------Reid--------------------------Rice---------------------------------------Cress---------------------

Byram------------------------Haksabanovic----------------Kouyate--------------Fernandes--------------Ayew------------

-----------------------------------------Carroll-----------------------Hernandez-----------------------------------------------------

It's an Arsenal pub of course so won't be full of West Ham but Compton Arms is a cracking little pub and a five minute walk from H&I station. The locals are fine and you'll normally see a few West Ham there too.

Looking forward to going to this one. Meeting up early for a few before the game - may even go in the Compton at some point.

We'll give them a game methinks. Coyi.
