7000 people gave up time and money to watch that crap and I for one don't believe many who travelled agree with the "Newcastle is more important malakey"

Both teams went ultra defensive at the same time. That's football.

Other than the one they scored do you mean?

Arsenal had 8 shots to our 1 and 6 corners to our magnificent zero, and yeah, a pretty **** game quality wise, but where were our creative attacking moves that the opposition blotted out with their display of ultra defensive intensity? Id have loved to have seen 8 moves that we were robbed of the opportunity to have 8 shots by Arsenals resolute defence, but we never did.

We may not have "thrown the game" as some have described it, but we made no meaningful effort to actually try and win it - a one off cup game that over 7,000 went in expectation of seeing some desire in those players selected to try and win the game, take the club into the semi-finals and therefore just 2 games from a final.

a wasted opportunity for sure. might as well have played some more of the u23 such as Martinez couldn't do worse than carroll and co.

onto the next game and if we win all will be forgotten but a shame as we had a chance and didn't go for it.

Its not just West Ham Utd that does that Doc.

Course not, but it doesn't make it any the better.

In front of thousands of travelling fans who travelled hundreds of miles during the festive break to Forest and Wednesday I expected a lot more than a bench without one senior cap. In those 2 games the opposition were clearly up for it and we looked for all the world like we wanted to lose.

My point was that Arsenal wasn't an off day, wasn't a day when it just didn't happen. Like before we wanted out. Other Clubs may also field weakened teams but I wouldn't mind a bet that no other Club has failed to muster a single attack in a QF before.

West Ham used to have some b*llocks. Hillsborough in the mud anyone? Nah, not these days.

There’s a little line from Allardyce’s interview with Carragher the other day where he said something along the lines of “I’ve been told by chairman before to prioritise the league specifically.” He was being asked in relation to giving the cups more of a go now relegation for them is pretty much not happening.

If he's given up already the club should be offering refunds and a belated Xmas present.
