Captain Fantastic mr Noble even kouyate looked good. Maybe that 'you don't play if you don't run' line has finally worked on him eh? Absolutely fantastic result and a good way to improve the GD.

Scoring 4 away from home with a fair to middling performance is a good place to be - hugely important 3 points and David Moyes has really started to show his credentials. If there is a downside, it creates exactly the reasons why Sully won’t invest whilst we are just doing enough.
Complacency would be a disaster so I expect some done deals...perhaps 2 by the close. Not necessarily purchases either..
Well played lads, job done and another smile for the weekend. MotM Arnie with Lanzini a close 2nd.

Wouldn't say he had a stormer, but he certainly put more effort in than previous months.Georgee Paris wrote:

He'd be the last person to level that at. He never ever stops running, it just happens to be very slow when he does.

They played right into our hands like Stoke, played far too open and got picked off by some excellent play from the midfield and Arnautovic

Impressive today, noble 1st half arnie second half both very very good,
The teams shape looks to be starting to become ingrained in the players now, they automatically get straight back into shape when opposition has possesion.
Most satisfying for me,
Control the midfield and good things happen.

That made a nice change. We never looked in trouble. Admittedly there was a period in the first half that featured their goal when I thought, 'here we go…' but apart from that little period of play, the home side was never in it. The second half was particularly pleasing, three goals in short time. And good breakaway goals too. Overall a good win and an important one given the teams in and around us got results.

Well done lads. A 4-1 win away from home is always a brilliant result. No matter who the opposition. BTW when was the last time we scored 4 away from home in the top flight ?

As good a result as it was, it has only helped to highlight just how thin the squad is, and how much it is lacking in quality.
It has been an absolutely brilliant result for Sullivan, he can sleep safely tonight knowing that he hasn't got to strengthen the squad until the summer.
I feel for Moyes because he has transformed the team without having to buy or being able to buy, I'm concerned that he will get a he can't play anymore due to goal bonuses in regard to Arnie.
But in seriousness let's not kid ourselves the squad needs freshening up, but it's hardly likely to get it .

Re: Huddersfield Town v West Ham Utd: match thread
Arnie was outstanding, but it papered over the fact that Zabaleta was easily exposed and Kouyate was completely outplayed and that only stopped when we broke Huddersfield’s spirit. The goal difference is starting to look a bit more healthy, but we desperately need a defensive midfielder and a creative midfielder and a right back, right midfielder and lets be honest another centre back. Maybe we can solve one or two of those from within , but we need to address at least one and probably 2 of those needs immediately. Hopefully the move up the table is easing Sullivan’s fear of Spending in case of relegation.
