Looking forward to this..

East stand 1966 seat on the halfway line compared to my normal West stand Band 5 gods for a tenner. Hopefully get to see some of our young players and Shrewsbury should be up for it

I feel sure Carroll will start, unless he's involved in transfer talks. Didn't Moyes say the other day he wasn't playing because we have 'a game on Tuesday'...or something like that?

Carroll won't even be on the bench according to Irvine, says he is injured, also Hernandez went home today ill. Coincidence on transfer speculation or genuine.

Heard from a mate of mine who works in the housing market that Carroll has made enquiries into a few properties in West London.

I think he's offski.

Hope we keep Hernandez personally.

I'm going by car as usual but my son and his mates have decided to take the train.
Can anyone advise as to the best exit from the park to Pudding Mill Lane afterwards please.
Thanks in advance.

If I was him I'd get the 16:20 from Portsmouth and Southsea, into Waterloo at 17:54. Allow half an hour for Jubilee to Stratford, 20 minute walk to the ground. Be there by 19:00 in time for a few beers or have a couple on the way at The Builders or Carpenters.

The traffic around Stratford by the time he arrives will be horrendous even for a smaller crowd[/quote]

I said take the train but kids eh. I think they are more worried about get the train back to be honest.

The league is without doubt our main priority, and relegation would be an absolute disaster. So I hope Arnie and Lanzini are nowhere near the starting line up. It would be just our luck one of them would get injured within the first 20 minutes if playing.

We have a squad of players for a reason, and this is the perfect match to utilise it. Losing Arnie or Lanzini to injury is unthinkable. If it happens in the league then so be it. As much as I would love to see us win a cup, being relegated this season is also unthinkable. With it being so tight from 20th to 11th, resting players and keeping them fresh could be the key to survival.

His best bet, imo, is to time his journey so that

(a) he comes across the river via the Blackwall, not Dartford, and that
(b) he rocks up in Bow by about 1900, which, I think - he might want to check on the LBTH website - allows for free parking on single yellows by that point.

He could jump on the DLR to Pudding Mill Lane from there. Couple of stops would take him 10 minutes max.

Actually driving all the way into Stratford might be cutting it a bit too fine, but these are only suggestions; I've never driven and parked around there for a night game.

Drive to Havant, last train Waterloo/Havant at 11.45, takes 1.36hrs, 2 others every hour before that.

Live between the M3/A3 junctions on M25, any time from 16.30 onwards it can be a pig to get through, and all the way anti clockwise to the bridge. Cutting it very tight.

West Ham seem to be doing what most clubs do every transfer window, which is pretend that the players they want to get rid of are injured. So we won't see Sahko, Chicharito or Carroll anywhere near the line up tonight

Then we need to protect our key players for the upcoming key matches vs Bournemouth & Palace, so I expect we won't see the likes of Noble, Ogbonna, Zaba, Arnie, Lanzini, Collins either

Add to that those who really are injured : Reid, Fonte, Edimilson & Antonio

Adding all that up, I wouldn't be surprised if we lined up Joe Hart + ten youngsters (Oxford, Burke, Rice, Cullen, Martinez, Quina etc) - with Sam Byram making his traditional mercurial one appearence before getting yet another 4 month injury

We'll either win with a young team or lose with a young team - no point risking anyone with our upcoming fixtures in my opinion

Does anyone know if the shop in Romford sells tickets for home games?

I used to get them there many years ago when the original store first opened.

Cheers!

If it's anything like the Lakeside store, they stopped doing that years ago mate.
Just on that topic... anyone remember when we had a store in Bluewater for a short time?
Used to love going in there. Always the only customer in there though with 5 members of staff mucking about where they were so bored.

Can't believe they closed it..
