Change the title please it's inaccurate. It should say West Ham Reserves

Never fear. I heard that Fonte and Reid might be back for this, so we'll be able to play 11 defenders. Respect the point.

Re: West Ham Utd v Crystal Palace: match thread
So given we'll be without:
Lanzini
Arnie
Masuaku
Obiang
Carroll
Sakho
Antonio
Fonte
Reid
I'd guess the first Xi is:
Adrian
Cresswell
Ogbonna
Collins
Zabaleta
Kouyate
Rice
Noble
Mario
Ayew
Hernandez
With a bench of: Hart, Byram, Oxford, Cullen, Haksabanovic, Quina, Burke?

Re: West Ham Utd v Crystal Palace: match thread
Zaha will float between tearing us to pieces and diving on the ground. We are f*cked, they’ll get their obligatory penalty, maybe two and we’re back in the dogfight!

Re: West Ham Utd v Crystal Palace: match thread
Any line up guesses for this is a waste of time given no-one could possibly know now who is fit/unfit, still a West Ham player or a new West Ham player. How can Moyes even begin to work out his tactics for this match? He probably has a few hours before the match to know who he can pick and therefore what the formation will be.

Can we just not bother?
You’d think Collins, Noble will return. Is there even anyone else?

Re: West Ham Utd v Crystal Palace: match thread
However we do it, not losing this match is vital. Southampton and Stoke, of the teams below us, stand a fair chance of 3 points, which would come close to negating the lead we presently have over them, and drag us closer towards the trapdoor, if we lost.
Palace have come a cropper against Arsenal twice, and have early-bathed both cups.
Their form since the time we replaced Bilic has been remarkable; barely lost any other game. I fancy that, if they beat us, they will definitely finish above us.
They however have had recent injuries, but nothing like the scorched earth of the (one-way?) path to our treatment room.
Can't even guess at the first eleven at the moment. Some nauxt level stuff, right there.

Its like I said before , a 'perfect storm' of injuries at just the wrong period of the season which is going to make or break us. Unless we get urgent reinforcements now , we will be staring relegation within the next 5 games. Strange thing is W Brom lost 4 players (I think) to hamstring injuries against Liverpool, so they might be in as bad a situation as us and CP . This season is going all the way to the wire!!!!
Re: West Ham Utd v Crystal Palace: match thread
yes the morale boost of beating Liverpool might feel a bit sour for west brom by midweek if their injuries cost them points. Most of the lower half teams operate small squads and injuries can be crucial. We're probably going to have to play 'conservatively' in all our games up to the international break and hope we can squeeze as many points as possible. It's not what we want to see, but a point against Palace would not be 2 points lost. BFS would be proud of me!Humbug wrote:Its like I said before , a 'perfect storm' of injuries at just the wrong period of the season which is going to make or break us. This might sound barbaric and old fashioned but, given what Zaha is like, why not take the wind out of his sails early on, if you get me?

I would just like to confirm that Wilfried Zaha WILL be wearing his slippery boots, on Tuesday night.
