Zaba's little scooped ball over their full back to Byram's feet was a thing of beauty and joy.

Come on man. We had players out of position and were missing almost every single key player we have. We did well.Vienna wrote:39% possession against Palace at home, that is shocking.
Respect the point.
Re: West Ham Utd v Crystal Palace: match thread
Everyone did their job really well tonight.
Kouyate (motm) Noble, Zab and Mario was a good midfield. Another great penalty by our captain.
To see Mario is like waiting for spring (when Arnie, Arthur and Lanzini is back to play with him.)

Presumably a few back for Brighton? Antonio in particular could be useful

As was the game.Vienna wrote:39% possession against Palace at home, that is shocking.
Not sure why some are happy with not trying to win a game, big Sam all over again.
I don’t blame Moyes, he has a big fat bonus for keeping us up and was only given a 6 month deal but tonight highlighted that beyond belief.
I’d rather tried to win and lost than watch us have so many players back at home to Palace.
We sacrificed two cup competitions for 1 league point
Our whole history is the cups or in recent years play off finals...
Moyes is doing what he has been asked to though so not blaming him personally

means jack sheiss . a point with that xi is v good . why look for a negative
Re: West Ham Utd v Crystal Palace: match thread
Noble MOTM for me, just. Kouyate was back to his best, he’s limited but when he plays to his strengths he’s effective. Zabaleta put tackles in all over the pitch. Joao Mario will prove to be an important player for us too.
Decent point with so many out. Let’s make it three against Brighton.

I enjoyed that. Was a decent game of football.
Fair play to palace for such an attacking line up away from home, it certainly made for an entertaining game.
I thought we played well considering the injuries and so forth. Everyone put in a shift and we did enough to nick the win IMHO. Certainly with a liitle bit more luck and compusure with the final ball and Hernandez burying that header, that he would usually score with his eyes closed, we would have done
It didn't feel like a game where we had minimal possession. What we had we used well

Re: West Ham Utd v Crystal Palace: match thread
Anyone fuming about that result tonight is completely out of touch. Considering what a threadbare team that was with nothing on the bench that was a good performance. They were organised, worked really hard and kept trying to press when they could. Palace had a proper game plan and options.
Mario looks class. Zab was outstanding. Noble Kouyate and Cresswell all put in good shifts. At the back Oggy and Collins were very strong. OK Rice had one weak moment but grew into the game. Hernandez worked hard and could/shouldnve won it with that header. But this was a good point against a very positive Palace. And all that after going behind. Showed decent spirit. We are desperately lacking in quality and numbers and shouldn't rely on the injured making the difference but I was rather cheered by that performance and the fact the crowd stuck with them.

Got to be happy with a draw there, and we played alright.
Avoiding defeat was critical tonight to keep the points ticking over.
Seen us play far worse than that, even with s stronger team out.

Given what was available squad-wise, and having the Wigan game while Palace rested, better than expected, and coming from a goal down.

Re: West Ham Utd v Crystal Palace: match thread
Swansea had 26% possesion although to Arsenal though, but They won coz they gave it a go and tried to score
We didn't and it was a **** game set up to defend as usual got lucky with a pen, plus Palace happy with s point
But even after all that we are 10th in the greatest league in the world :

Re: West Ham Utd v Crystal Palace: match thread
Walking back to my car from station now.
We were the better team and should have won, but a decent enough point in the end I think.
Captain Fantastic Noble man of the match by a mile for me, although Zab was brilliant at DM. Kouyate also impressive as were both Cress and Byram. Solid from the back 3, especially Ginge.
Mario is class and didn’t stop running. In fact he did everything I would want Hernandez to do. Which brings me to our only weak link tonight, the ungrateful, lazy, flat footed premadonna. If we had any other fit forwards, they would all be ahead of him and he is a massive disappointment.
This lack of service nonsense is just that for me - Mario, who should be much less match fit, racing past him to close down the keeper towards the end is case and point.

I'm sure it's been said before, but I'll say it again Mario looked sharp on the ball, a great shift from Kouyate and shout outs to Noble and Zaba. Given the injuries I'd say it was a valuable point. Come On You Irons !!!!
