They actually came within spitting distance of getting him, as well.
Good job Arthur wasn't around. :)

From the OS:

"with the likes of Winston Reid, Jose Fonte and Michail Antonio available again and new signing Jordan Hugill expected to be involved for the first time."

Hernandez will have a bigger strop that Sakho when he finds out he’s been dropped at the weekend for a striker who struggles to score in the championship

I must point out that is me making a prediction I have no ITK knowledge.

Love the optimism but on the basis that we have a limited squad of players, Brighton have only lost 3 home games all season (Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City) and we've only won 2 away games all season (Huddersfield and Stoke City), we'll be fortunate with a point.

Hopefully my analysis is wrong and we thump 'em.

Not so sure....

Image

They've won 3 of 12; we have had two stints of bad away form all linked to upheaval (transfer window and Slaven going).

It looks like a probable draw to me.

People talk about our run-in; theirs looks just as iffy at home. Like us they probably think they need the points now.

Their lot will be massively up for this. If they lose they could be in the bottom three. Hughton must have this down as very possible three points. Moyes will go looking for a draw. I reckon 1-1.

Ooooohhh there is a game on, I forgot with all the positivity around the club

We owe these from the farce we were at the athletics bowl!

I like to state the obvious, big game for both sides, looks like we a couple back, plus our new striker, must not lose, but even with a depleted squad, we show the commitment like we did against Palace, we are going to get a positive result.

I quite like their new ground, looking forward to visiting again tomorrow.

Just been reading on BBC Sport that Brighton haven't won a League game in 2018, where as we're unbeaten in 2018.

I hope he will feature at some point as I think Hugill will be better suited to playing against Brighton than most of our lot. I regard Brighton as a Championship 'type' team and I just feel he will be more used to that style of play.
Same applies although to a lesser extent next week against Watford.
I am not suggesting we are better than them or indeed that we won't be a Championship team ourselves next season. :(

Moyes: "We hope Antonio will have a chance of being available. Winston Reid is coming on a bit. Jose Fonte could do with a couple of reserve games, but he's training, and we need all the numbers we can."

With the way we're lining up these days we're almost better away than at home (now watch us lose 3-0) I still reckon a draw, be very like palace a contest for 80 minutes then both teams settle for a draw to inch up the table. I'd hate to lose after that shambles at stratford last year.

Mainly in the city as there's only one pub near the ground and it's home fans only. Happy to be corrected though.

The alternative is to drink at the ground where young men will sing excitedly on each others shoulder pre-match whilst showering themselves in £5 pints

I'm driving, so I'll have a coffee . . . . .
