If Chelsea had won it could have inspired them even more as they had only have been two points off fourth.
Last time we won I was there; long enough ago for Defoe and Di Canio to be our scorers

Imagine Davo is the man to lead us to our first double over Chelsea in 15 years.

Chelski will bounce back against us, and give us a proper stuffing.
They'll win by at least three.

Beating Southampton does not make us a good side all of a sudden.
I'll be dellighted with a hard fought on the back foot point.
Cannot see us going there and taking it to them. Our championship midfield needs to be at 130% and theirs at 80% for us to have a chance. IMHO. 8-)
2-0 them.

it all depends which team turns up. The team that capitulated against Burnley or the one that slaughtered Southampton. Hopefully it will be the latter.

Fully expect Moyes to play the percentages for this one, if Lanzini is fit I can see him ‘resting’ Arnie in favour of Cheech.

I'd pretty much written this one off, but I always think we look better without Antonio, so there's my silver lining

1 nil to us, with us having less than 30% possession.

In reality, I think that Conte still connects with the players he drilled into Champions only 18 months ago, so our approach to this match has to be as determined and 'in their faces' as we can possibly manage.

Hopefully at least one of those missing from Saturday can at the very least make the bench.

I am personally expecting nothing, but we must avoid a big defeat, because it knocks confidence badly, with other 'big hitter' teams on the horizon.

If Moyes puts 8 or even 9 men behind the ball, for the 90, and we escape with a point, its job done, for me.

After one win, against a bottom three side at home, the optimism returns unbounded to this site.

Calm down. We'll lose 4-1. The important game is the one after. Chelsea, even when they are way off their best have far too much for us at the Bridge. We haven't won there since they sold their soul to the Russians.

I really have absolutely no idea how this one's going to go. The realist in me says it will be a loss, but could we, on the back of a good win and a good week's training and renewed confidence, get some sort of result ? I'm going to sit on the fence and predict 2-2

They're in a bit of a state (for them) at the minute. No better time to play them after spurs finally breaking their embarrassing 30 year hoodoo there.

1-1

Problem with West Ham at the moment is you don't know what one will turn up!

To be honest though I think we were flattered on Saturday by how poor Southampton were, that said the goals were really well worked and taken.

The problem at the minute is the non-existent midfield when we don't have the ball. Southampton run through us a few times in the second half, Oggy and Uncle Ben's looked solid though. Don't think we would have got away with that against a better team.
On the flip side Arthur, Mario and Arnie looked really good and I think they are pivotal to the rest of our season. shoehorn Lanzini for Antonio.
As for the keepers, Joe didn't have anything to do Saturday so he will keep his place. I love Adrian however, neither keeper fills me with confidence.

Chelsea are poor at the moment, we are inconsistent. 2-0 Chelsea
