It's a little disingenuous to say waiting 70 odd minutes to put a striker on - but Arnautovic is our striker. Granted we could do with another one, and much earlier, but it's not as if we're playing 5-5-0.

We had more possession, but played them off the park? No chance. For all our bluster, they had the better chances and were it not for poor finishing, they should have been at least 2 up in the first half.

What did I want? To show some actual intent and get in their faces. Show some aggression. Have a decent go against one of the worst teams in the league and going a long way in securing safety.

For what it's worth I agree, and I think moving forward Chicha has earned the right to start. But I also applaud having a settled side, even if it means the more talented players have to earn the right to get back into the starting line up.

Look what it's done for Rice. I think it's great Moyes gave Fernandes the chance to show he could be in the side as well.

Chicharito to start from now on though. Fernandes just isn't ready or isn't suited to the Premier League. Him and Mario get out-muscled by the Ghost of Pulis Past.

Negative Moyes against a team that just parked the bus. Two good calls from Oliver on the disallowed goals and one bad one imo, I thought handball had to be deliberate? Shocking how Stoke got the same amount of bookings as us, how many fouls did they make? Good finish from Carroll and Joe Hart abysmal again, why didn't he play it quick in the last minute? We would have scored I think if he did, there was acres of space. One thing I still can't understand is the lack of intensity in our play, playing in 2nd gear it seemed today.

Totally flummoxed by our tactics in this game - Stoke were woeful and we just didn’t take advantage. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but maybe we should have started with Lil’ P instead of Fernandes and we may have got the early lead and won the match.

On the plus side, tonight has pretty much confirmed to me that we will be safe - can’t see any of the bottom 3 getting enough points to clear the relegation places.

Second plus tonight - we are a day closer to the end of season and being the optimist (some achievement following us for over 40 years) we are a day closer to the clearout that the club needs.

You do realise, do you not, that he will start with precisely the same starting eleven against Le Arse as he did tonight and the game before that. The absolute ****ing dullard, prick

We passed the ball around nicely but i don't think we committed more than three men in the opposition box at all until we went behind

It was an extremely conservative approach that very nearly completely back fired

I think we will beat Leicester and an everton FWIW

My goalkeeper coach would give me a hiding if I did what Hart did for their goal.

Rule 1: body in front of the ball. Hands first.

Even if you defend his descision to use his feet, he was clearing it with the wrong foot. A striker will win that challenge 9/10 times.

5 points from 9

Most of us would have hoped for 6 at best, so on that basis it's not a disaster.

But Moyes leaving it so late to react and the constant negative tactics is inexcusable.

This season can't finish soon enough.

that mistake from hart is worse than anything Adrian has done. I thought last week was a turning point for him but he's ruined his England hopes now.

Moyes should have been brave after 20 mins when the Stoke bus got stuck.

Mourinhio used to be one of the few managers that will change tactics mid game - when necessary!

Not our dipstick. 70 mins!

Got out of jail there. Moyes played for a point against Stoke ffs and it nearly blew up in his face, but for Geordie Jesus.

Absolutely inexcusable. In all our home games where we have done well, we got at the oppo and scored early and then kept pushing. We can’t defend at home, Moyes should know that.

Let’s hope that is the last time we see Hart in a West Ham shirt. He is finished at this level.
