Arsenal 4-1 West Ham Utd (22/04/18)

Re: Arsenal v West Ham United: Match Thread
Moyes will have a go at this one and I fancy us to win.
I think we'll keep a fairly solid shape first half and size them up, but if we're level I think we'll go for it second half.

Re: Arsenal v West Ham United: Match Thread
well at least we cant complain about injuries to attacking players with only Antonio out.
But the reality is that we are short of defensive players so I wouldn't be surprised if Fernandes starts, although i'm suspecting Lanzini will replace Joao Mario. However much you want us to attack and moyes to go for it, whoever arsenal play in their line up they can still beat us.
Carroll wont start as he isn't fully fit yet
Hart
Zabaleta, rice, ogbonna, cresswell (or evra) masuaku
lanzini noble kouyate fernandes
Arnautovic
subs:
Adrian, Hernandez, Carroll, Mario, Evra, Cullen, Hugill

So Arsene's announced he's stepping down at season's end. Is that a positive or negative for Sunday? Ensures it'll get more coverage I suppose. P. s. Be careful what you wish for Gooners.

He needed to announce it when he could be sure of getting the right result and then a great reception and show of gratitude from the fans.Tarte Encore wrote:So Arsene's announced he's stepping down at season's end. There was only one fixture that he could be sure that could happen.

Same tactics as per Manchester City or Tottenham away and we could come away with all 3 points .
Arsenal 0 West Ham United 1
Arsenal 0 West Ham United 1

Huge negative for us. Telling you will be a thrashing now.

More chance of “we want you to sign” I thinkRow X wrote:If we’re singing “Arsene Wenger, we want you to stay” at around 3:15pm on Sunday, we’ll know we’ve had a good day.

I think he will set up for a point and then go even more defensive last 20 minutes if we are still level.BubbleBoy wrote:Moyes will have a go at this one and I fancy us to win.

I had hopes for a positive result, but now Wenger has announced he's leaving, I can see Arsenal and their fans wanting to give him a good send off and being really up for this one. I think we'll lose.

Hoping Arsenal's minds are else where....Madrid game & new manager and we catch them on an off day similar to opening day of the season couple of years ago.
1-0 WH win. Late Carroll goal from the bench.

I think the timing of this couldn't be worse for us. It will change the whole atmosphere of the place.

Re: Arsenal v West Ham United: Match Thread
I doubt its going to make much difference, the atmosphere will be ***** as usual.
Wenger has already said this match isnt a priority and any tributes will surely be saved for the last home game.
Just had an email saying no alcohol in the ground for away fans again.
B******s.

You think their players care or even know that much about us?Humbug wrote:Arsenal will be up for this because they would love to send us down. Moyes will settle for a draw.
