Leicester City 0-2 West Ham Utd (05/05/18)
Saturday 5th May 2018, 15:00 Kick-off.
Big big game. We've had a few this season, but this one really is the one we MUST target if we want to be in the Premier League for another season.
Will the players be up for the fight? Let's hope so!
My team at the moment, pending on no more injuries being picked up and players being fit:
--------------------------------------Hart------------------------------------
----------------------Collins----Ogbonna----Cresswell---------------
Zabaleta--------------------------Rice---------------------------------Masuaku
----------------------Kouyate-------------Noble-----------------------------------
---------------------------------Arnautovic------------------------------------------
---------------------------------Hernandez-----------------------------------------
Subs: Adrian, Evra, Fernandes, Cullen, Lanzini, Carroll, Huggill.

I don't want to see Hernandez ever again. What did he do today, to merit a start?
Hart?
Collins and Zabaleta against Vardy?
No Lanzini?

I don't ever want to see Noble and Kouyate wear the West Ham shirt ever again. Other than make up the eleven, just what do they offer, just what do they do ?

Does Mark Noble dive to the floor the first time the ball comes to him? Hernandez did.Puff Daddy wrote:I don't ever want to see Noble and Kouyate wear the West Ham shirt ever again. Other than make up the eleven, just what do they offer, just what do they do ?
Noble and Kouyate played a decent first half today, notwithstanding these facts:
1. They are older and simply less capable as any of the City players, and
2. The pressure on their area of the pitch was unrelenting for them, but they were still in there battling for the first 49 minutes.
There was nothing either of them could have done about City's first two.
Re: Leicester City v West Ham United: Match Thread
Did nothing today, that's for sure, other than to stand back and admire the opposition. Been useless for weeks now. Noble's been a great servant over the years but really needs replacing in the summer, as does KouyatePuff Daddy wrote:I don't ever want to see Noble and Kouyate wear the West Ham shirt ever again. I’m not a premiership manager, but I’d be tempted to go all out against Leicester (whom have pretty much nothing to play for).
Hart
Rice-Ogbonna-Cresswell
Zabaleta-Lanzini-Noble/Kouyaté-Masuaku
Arnie-Carroll-Hernandez

Kouyate was his normal clumsy self, horrible, heavy touches, stumbling over his own feet and all Noble did was casually jogprophet:marginal wrote:

around the midfield. Not once, did he make a tackle and not once
did he try to get us into the game, unlike a certain Billy Bonds

Re: Leicester City v West Ham United: Match Thread
Hence why Adrian isn't in my team. Hart can be shaky as well, don't get me wrong. I want both Keepers out of the club in the summer. But I think Hart is slightly better coming for crosses. As Leicester will be a threat from these, let alone the ball over the top to Vardy. Rice I agree he was poor and it makes sense to take him out of the firing line. But with Obiang out I would stick him in midfield where he can hopefully help defensively. And he can hopefully have less pressure on him in midfield.bubbles1966 wrote:Adrian and Rice had shockers today.
The only change in my team I would've made is Kouyate for Collins, as Kouyate has more pace to hopefully keep up with Vardy. But with no Obiang again we have no choice.
To say no Obiang is effecting us is an understatement.
I didn't know who to go with up top out of Hernandez and Carroll up top. I just about went with Hernandez to offer us a bit more pace and to give us more of a goal threat. But truth be told I am still a little undecided on that part.
To help us be better defensively for me we can't play Lanzini, unless Obiang was fit. We have to either go with either him, or Hernandez and not both. As they are both passengers defensively.
I am surprised I've seen on a few posts in other threads that some people think Obiang will be involved, let alone start. Didn't Moyes say he wouldn't be involved unless it's the last game of the season? Or did I imagine that?

Re: Leicester City v West Ham United: Match Thread
We are sleepwalking towards relegation, what have we got to lose by giving it a go, playing 2 strikers and attacking from the off.
Obviously with morbid Moyes in charge, we will start with the same line-up as we did today give or take a couple of changes, Hart for Adrian (meh) and Masuaku for Evra.
Can't wait.

We'll beat them 6-0.
I'll reconsider the XI if Collins or Obiang is available.

I doubt Carroll will be starting if the stories are true that he stormed off down the tunnel after the triple substitution.bubbles1966 wrote:Carroll will start, if fit.

A woefully out of sorts Leicester against us.
Nailed on Home win. Players look ripped asunder both in terms of morale and desire.
