Think we've past the tipping point with Carroll and he's actually more valuable to us for next season than any fee he will generate in the transfer market.Kludgehammer wrote:Wrap Carroll in bubble wrap and packing tape, ready to slap on an address label to anyone insane enough to sign him.
FFS don't let him on the pitch to get injured just before another transfer window!

Fallen out with the gaffer, not pitch side so no one got a sniff of what's going on...
been banished for the rest of the season...seen a few players go down injured and missing the WC. This close and with nothing to play for, doesn't want to miss it...
allegedly...

10th May is a date that goes down in West Ham folklore on more than one occasion so lets take this to Man Utd and send them back down the A13 with their tails between their legs.
Full team out no excuses. I want to see us win!!!

Man U have something to play for keeping Spuds out of second spot (worth significant money?), but then they also did vs Brighton. Agree with just about everyone else on here saying it would be great to see attacking intent.

Yes your right we are past a Tipping Point, but that is to get rid whatever we get for him, he knows that now! you can't just keep hanging on hoping he may stay fit and increase his tally of 39 goals in 6 Years! that is folly.Sloop John B wrote: Think we've past the tipping point with Carroll and he's actually more valuable to us for next season than any fee he will generate in the transfer market.
The players tonight must give it their best, the sooner this season is over the better, we need Change with everything about the club, lets hope something happens, could not stand a season like this current one!

Hard to really justify any changes from the line up at Leicester. You win 2-0, you don't really change it up. Unless of course we have injuries.
If we do have any doubtful's then I'd certainly look to bring Carroll in for a couple of games. Play Arnautovic and Lanzini in behind him and move to a straight forward back four.

I can imagine they will stroll through both this and the Watford game on Sunday as they did the Brighton game. They know full well that they will be able to pick up a point in either game to secure second.vietnammer wrote:Man U have something to play for keeping Spuds out of second spot (worth significant money?), but then they also did vs Brighton. They will be more than happy with a point and no injuries out of tonight's game, that way they can give players a week off ahead of the FA Cup and roll out the kids against Watford.

I wouldn't change the formation at this stage! just the personnel to more attacking.
Keep the 5/3 at the back system as per normal as its what all the players are used to.
Adrian (keeps jersey off the back of Leics win)
Zab - Rice - Ogbonna - Cresswell - Masuaku
Noble - Kouyate (Obiang to get a bit of game time)
Lanzini - Mario
Arnautovic
I'd give Hugill another 30 minutes to see if anything there.
No idea what the craic is with Hart and Hernandes

I'd imagine the owners view being that there is very little point in gifting them any more appearance money.Lord Zoltan wrote:

Re: West Ham United v Manchester United: Match Thread
I hope we show some ambition in this game. I fully expect to see defence first Dave put out a fairly negative team though. this has 0-0 written all over it.
I would go with a 4-3-3
Adrian
Masuaku
Rice
Kouyate
Zabaleta
Noble
Mario
Cullen
Lanzini
Arnie
Carroll
