Re: Liverpool v West Ham Utd: match thread (12/8/18)
James P answered the question far more intelligently than I could!

Re: Liverpool v West Ham Utd: match thread (12/8/18)
I've just watched MotD2, on catch up.
The problem, for me, is that at the most devastating moments, very good strikers are left with close range finishes.
Salah's goal is a pass reaching him after bypassing two defenders and our keeper and Masu is too far back to react.
Mane's first is debatable, but, as several have said, you've got to play to the whistle. Leaving two players of LFC's quality alone in the 6 yard box is begging for trouble.
His second is just an official's screw up. He was at least a yard off.
But we revert to type with Sturridge (rapidly becoming a player who scores in every game he plays against us).
Too loose when the moments come. Pretty sure we can improve on it, but there is a structural weakness, if we are going to invite the pressure, as we did, but doze off in this way.
