He won't. Bet we go 4-1-4-1 with him sittingYea Why Not wrote:As much as I rate Rice as a center half I can see him being taught a thing or 2 if he starts in midfield
I reckon thisll be a comfortable win for Liverpool which isnt a big deal. The main worry is people flapping over it and not realising that our team wont evolve overnight

Anyone think he will make room for Zabaletta tomorrow?
We will need a calm head and some experience in the side to get anything from this game i feel.
Fabianski
Fredericks
Ogbonna
The General
Cresswell
Zabaletta
Noble
Sanchez
Wilshire
Anderson
Arnie
4-2-2-1-1 (ish)

As much as I would love us to win this, I can see us losing 4-3 or 3-2.

In the long run, over a 38 game season, a draw at Anfield would represent something well above par for teams 7-20 if they replicate last year's form.
In fact, any result where we lose by two or less will be better than most teams from that group get.
It's about the performance. It's about being competitive and putting an end to this run of three against this lot where they have run away with it after a competitive first 20-30 minutes. We were unbeaten in five against them before that.

You should probably pop down the clinic for a test, just to be on the safe side.dixie1978 wrote:I had a dream about Katie Price, i wish i had your dream instead

The last paragraph is bang on. Get out of the traps quickly and give it a real go, and hopefully put in a promising display to build confidence for the Bournemouth game.bubbles1966 wrote:In the long run, over a 38 game season, a draw at Anfield would represent something well above par for teams 7-20 if they replicate last year's form.

If we do concede, then show a bit of grit and determination to not do what we have done the last couple of season and let in two more in quick succession
If we go one nil up, don't drop deeper and deeper and sit on the lead
If we are nil nil with 20 minutes left then go for the jugular to get the win, not play for the draw

Let's get the mindset right. Go into every game believing you can win. Go into every game and have a go ! None of this 'we'll write this one off as we can't possibly win' nonsense a-la Alladici.
No more of that defeatist bollox at West Ham !

To be fair she has laid on a lot of more balls than Antonio.

Don’t wanna tempt fate but we might be catching Liverpool at the right time...new season. New players. Big expectations from their crowd.
3-0 to Liverpool. Pardon?

Antonio and Yarmolenko both out injured? Please don't tell me this means Snodgrass is going to be starting.

The only place I've seen that being reported is in this thread. The official site put out an article a couple of hours ago saying that the only players not available for selection are Reid, Carroll, Lanzini and Fernandes.EastleighHammer16 wrote:Antonio and Yarmolenko both out injured? I can’t see us getting anything tomorrow. Be nice to keep it respectable and make a good account of ourselves. Horrible place to start the season.

2-1 West Ham. Their goal a lucky, extra time deflection.

Would start Fredericks over Zabaleta as I’m sure we’ll be doing a lot of chasing. Would go with Sanchez over Noble as he offers more bite and we have Wilshere to do whatever else Noble offers. 1-3
Fabianski
Fredericks
Balbuena
Ogbonna
Cresswell
Rice
Sanchez
Wilshere
Yarmolenko (Antonio if Yarmo.. not fit)
Arnautovic
Anderson
