Find it interesting that every time we see Kante brought up on threads it’s mentioned with an explicit or implied ‘worth two players’ to help balance out another team because of his high energy yet we then go on to try and justify why we don’t need high energy players in our own midfield
It’s not simply a Moyes or Allardyce tactic to win the centre midfield battle in order to dictate the game a little. Until we learn that lesson we’re probably facing Groundhog Day each season.
Most of the 4 at the back line ups seem in denial about our central midfield imo.

I still think we are better suited playing with a back 3 and wing back. Both Arthur and Freddie and better going forward than defending. Would also play Zaba on the right side of the three with Rice and Oggy or Fab.

Not only some of the players who didn’t put a shift in. Worst moment was about 10/15 to go we get a throw in, ball hits the wall under the directors box, ball boy staring into space. Artur got to the ball from 10 yards on the far-away pitch before the lazy little toad had moved 5.

I fear Private Fraser may be right this year. Looking at the fitness levels/pace some of our squad might struggle to get in the Dad's Army first XI.
