I don't think that team has 3 goals in it mate, not even against Macclesfieldhammerman11 wrote:so oxford played last night and not going to feature. does he have a future with us now if he cant make the cup games ?

Well, that's the problem. If you take a look at the side Leicester put out last night, which was a second string eleven, it was way stronger than that. It only go's show how under invested our squad still ishammerman11 wrote:best we have if we want to keep fresh for Saturday

It will be an idea of how it would be at the bowl if we got relegated...

We need to rest as many as possible of those who played on Sunday and are likely to play any role on Saturday, well perhaps except Antonio who looks sluggish and heavy and in desperate need to sharpen his fitness. If our second XI can’t beat Macclesfield then they for sure will be of little use for us come the situation they are needed as subs in a PL match, and in that case it will serve as an eye opener for manager and owners and players.

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Macclesfield Town: match thread (26/9)
You'd assume that all of the subs from the weekend will get a start...
------------------ Adrian ---------------------
Fredericks (TBC) Ogbonna Cresswell
---------- Sanchez (TBC) -----------------
Snodgrass --- Perez ------ (TBC) -----
------------------ (TBC) ----------------------
With Reid, Lanzini, Wilshere, Hernandez, Arnautovic and Carroll all out or at risk and the likes of Oxford and Trott playing last night (plus Xande Silva, Nathan Holland and Josh Pask all missing last night through injury) we only have 18 names remaining so will have to use the full first team squad anyway.
I'd guess that Diop is younger fresher and in need of more game time at the back so will most likely start.
Rice looked as though he tweaked his hamstring at the end of the Chelsea game so you would think he wouldn't be risked from the start. Noble is also on his way back to full fitness and form so again, would you want to risk him? That means a start for Obiang.
Flip a coin between Yarmolenko and Anderson for the place out on the left, I'd like to see Anderson play and put in a confidence boosting worldy. Truth is, we will need both of them at their best at the weekend too though.
Up top it all depends on Arnautovic's chances for the Man Utd game I guess. If we are expecting him to make the line up for Saturday then we can go with Antonio tonight.
------------------ Adrian ---------------------
Fredericks Diop Ogbonna Cresswell
---------- Sanchez Obiang ---------
Snodgrass --- Perez --- Anderson
----------------- Antonio ------------------
Fabianski, Zabaletta, Balbuena, Masuaku, Rice, Noble, Yarmolenko,
Strong side and squad, two goals in each half and a clean sheet for us.
4-0 and in to the hat for the last 16...!

It's a squad game these days, so my starting XI for tonight is
-------------------------------------Fabianski-------------------------------
Zabaleta ------------------Balbuena---------------Diop--------------Arthur
--------------------------------------------Rice--------------------------------------
Yarmalenko---------------Noble-----------------Obiang-----------Anderson
-----------------------------------------Antonio-----------------------------------
Unless the manager thinks someone else who has trained hard and is better in which case pick them.

Did the young striker play against Exeter last night? Silva? Maybe give him a run-out with the big boys?

Agree with those who are saying we should play some of the second string in the easier of the next two games.
So full strength, first choice tonight please.
At least two of the big 6 will be out by the end of the evening so this is our best chance of putting something in the trophy cabinet.

Going tonight, agree with Sutts and all the subs on Saturday will get a run out, would like to see a Cresswell/Arthur option on left hand side :

Fredericks - Diop - Ogbonna - Cresswell
---------- Sanchez-- Obiang---------------
Snodgrass ----- Perez---------Arthur

A few of the regular kids didn’t play against Exeter. Page, Coventry, Pask, Afolayan, Hector-Ingram.
I’d imagine one or two might make the 18.

I had to go to the TO this morning as my ticket never came through in the post, all I did was show my season ticket card and they reprinted me a ticket there and then. If I were you, I'd turn up early and go to the TO with the access cards and ask if you need paper tickets, if you do they'll check the reference number and reprint the paper tickets for you.twixy wrote:
Thanks mate. I think its hospitality, worst case I have to buy one on the door I guess.
