There was some pissed kids eating the hot ribman on our Richmond train home, and halfway through the journey one turned to his mate in clear abject panic and went “have you got any water?” :lol:

Yeah mate they did, a few hundred...those lads gave us the biggest laugh of the night heading back to Pudding Mill Lane...they're turning to go to the coaches all quiet like and then a few turn round and start singing "Where's your famous GSE!!", we had to give 'em a wave, those that hadn't fallen over laughing... :lol:

Was in shock when I saw the result.
Having watched the highlights and goals though - how bad are Macclesfield! I can't understand how they even managed to get to this stage of the cup. (A quick look reveals they won both rounds on penalties).
And if ever I suspected a kepper of throwing a game.... even the one he parried looks almost went in.

We can only beat what's in front of us, and it was a great scoreline, but we really shouldn't get carried away by it. The last Sunday league teams I watched while walking my dog looked better in defence than last night's opponents.

You've really got to hand it to the away fans travelling all that way on a school night for that!
Must have though (as we all did) they would have a good chance of a giant-killing.
Players probably though the same as they looked alright early on, but their heads dropped then they just seemed to give up in the second half.

Hopefully our lot will have gained some confidence - but not so much that they try dribbling through any decent teams like that.
