Even if we play at 200% we aren't going to win. I just hope we lay a glove on these as they seem pretty untouchable with only 4 goals conceded in 11 games. If we score i'll be happy.

It's a free swing against this mob. Hope Pellers philosophy comes to the game and we perform like we believe we can win rather than the usual defend badly, concede and then give up and concede some more.

I think we need one or two maybe three of their players sent off ideally. If we could add a bit of Carroll craziness to the mix at some point that might help.

I am not any good at predicting how west ham will get on but for this one I think city will beat us easily by 4 goals ! hopefully I am wrong. a 1 goal defeat would be good for us.
I wonder if carroll will be back for his little run of games before xmas ?
noble to return to midfield I would guess in place of obiang ?
masuaka to come in as a LW freeing Anderson up a bit
fab
zab diop balnuena cresswell
noble rice snoddy masuaka
arnie Anderson
subs Adrian fredericks ogbonna diagana Antonio Hernandez carroll ?

They may ease off when they get to 6 as they have a champions league game against lyon coming up mid week.
knowing our lot they will surprise us and steal a 1-0 win off snods backside !

Suggestion..
Fab
Zab Diop Balbuena Cresswell
Rice Obiang
Anderson Noble Masuaku
Arnie
Subs Adrian Fredericks Ogbonna Diagana Hernandez Carroll
Snods is suspended for this one, Diagana is too inexperienced for this one, but bring on as sub in the later stages, Caroll would be worth throwing on near the end if we're still in it too..
No point risking Wilshere if he's back..
Rice and Obiang would give more cover for our defence and Masuaku can track back and help Cresswell

5-1 City. I think we'll score, Arnie to get us a consolation after they go into a 3-0 half time lead, but that will only sting them to get another two before they decide not inflict any further punishment on us.

moneybags team will beat us. no surprise really.
there should be a cap on spending to even up the league as it is a joke and getting boring ! city will win the league easily this year as they are far better than anyone else.
not one of our players would get on their bench other than arnie maybe.
anyway here`s hoping for a shock west ham way result !

Not so sure. We can also set up to frustrate them as far as not 'going for it'. Not the 'WWW' but we don't want to run up the goall diff. Think we may lose by a single goal. Also think we have a draw in us.hammerman11 wrote:I am not any good at predicting how west ham will get on but for this one I think city will beat us easily by 4 goals !

This is the game when the public become aware of the colossal genius of Declan Rice. And the monumental incompetence of Aaron Cresswell.

Can't argue with much of that but I would say the top flight is probably more competitive than it was 30/35 years ago. At least now you 4,5 possibly 6 sides with a chance of winning it. In the early/mid 80's it was generally Liverpool, with occasionally someone else. People tend to forget that.hammerman11 wrote:moneybags team will beat us. no surprise really.

We have a very small chance of a major upset. It seems weird to use those precise words, against a fellow team in the top flight, but our record at home to Guardiola's team is appalling.
Basically we need to match the intensity of effort shown when Chelsea visited, but also take it up a notch during rare forays in their defensive third (if we just sit back for 90 minutes, we will concede).
Keeper and 3 of the back 4 totally pick themselves.
Noble will come in, especially given Snod's suspension, but that leaves us with the young tyro, Rice, and, lets be honest, a pair of players, in Mark and Obiang, who will have to be on their total A game, to even compete for 90 minutes
This will also need as much energy as we can muster out wide and the kind of performance from Arnautovic that mixes power with self-belief.
If Carroll is 'fit', have him on the bench, for some impact minutes, towards the end.
Forget Wilshere, as even an impact sub; he will take time to get match fit and City would just play the ball around him, whilst he gets his eye in.

Newly promoted Wolves took a point off of this lot.

I watched that game on the telly and they fought every inch of the way. If we can match the commitment they showed, we might stand a chance of emulating their result, but Wolves don't concede possession quite as easily as us and furthermore, they don't have a midfield of lightweights like us, nor players like Mark Noble, Aaron Cresswell and Pedro Obiang doing ridiculous things and handing the game to the other teamthe pink palermo wrote:Newly promoted Wolves took a point off of this lot.

Which game has Pedro Obiang handed out, so far this season?

How about yesterday. He gifted possession to them more than a couple of times. You can get away with that against lesser teams, but do so against this lot and they'll hurt yer
