We frequently follow a humiliating result with a good performance so I'm going for 2-0 here.

The problem is that we normally follow a really good performance with a totally mediocre one.

I don't want to sound negative, but we've struggled to breakdown teams this season & we look very suspect to counter attacks. This is going to be a very tough game.

Hopefully it'll be entertaining, but I'm going for 0-0!

Are you basing that on anything at all?

Because you can't mean like when Liverpool rumped us at the start of the season and we followed that up by rolling over for Bournemouth?

Or like last season when we followed up a 4-0 loss at Man Utd with a defeat at Southampton?
Or when Liverpool beat us 4-1 at home and we then went to Watford and lost?
Or when Everton beat us 4-0 and we then went to Man City and lost?
Or when Liverpool beat us 4-1 away and we followed it up by losing 4-1 to Swansea and then following that one up by losing 3-0 to Burnely?
Or maybe you mean when Arsenal beat us 4-1 and then we lost to Man City 4-1 then next week...

Not been a great decade for us up there has it...

Lost 3-0
Lost 2-1
Lost 2-0
Drew 0-0
Won 1-0
Lost 5-0
Drew 2-2
Lost 3-1

P8 L5 D2 W1 F5 A17

Surely that can only mean one thing... West Ham win with an Andy Carroll brace, cue them falling in love with him all over again and buying him for 30m in January...!

Truth be told, I don't fancy us to keep Rondon quiet from set pieces at all so we will need to score up there. And the way they defend set pieces themselves, Big AC might actually be our best bet.

I went to the 0-0 and they missed an absolute sitter in the 90th minute. Probably the miss of the season.

Historically crap up in the NE so a draw at best here i think. 0-0 or 1-1.

Surely the biggest danger we should be worrying about would be Carroll going out the night before on the lash in Shearers bar/Some student bar / nightclub / working mans club

Why have we been so crap up there? Just one poxy win there in our last 8 meetings and things haven't been that much better down here either. It's not like they have had a team of world beaters in their sides that beaten us and even a Schteve managed team got one over us

As poor as Burnley are, if Newcastle play with this level of intensity on Saturday I can't see us getting a result.

Looking very disjointed to me at the moment. Got some good players but nobody really seems to know where they should be or what they should be doing. Not getting the best out of Arnie and nobody else seems to take any shots from outside the box. Not sure where our goal will come from but I will say 2-1 to the barcodes.

Got tickets for this one - Got a hotel in Whitley Bay for 2 nights (Fri-Sat) for £37  (30 mins to Newcastle Central) Its not even a bad hotel either, 8.5 rating on Booking.com - Hit the Bay local bars on the Friday with the lads, stay in Newcastle town all Saturday, last train back to Whitley about 11:30pm, should be pissed enough by that time!

We normally do terrible up there yet I am being optimistic and feel a score draw on the cards.

On a side betting note, West Ham to win and Tyson Fury to beat Wilder on points later sat night/sun morning is 9/1 if your feeling lucky!

Had a terrible start to the season after Ashley spent no money..... and suddenly they are now above us.

Looking like another game where we need to get something out of it.
