Time to beat our bogey side. we will be looking for a reaction to the terrible display at burnley.
fab
zab diop ogbonna cresswell
Snodgrass rice obiang andeson
Antonio arnautovic

subs Adrian masuaka noble carroll diagana silva coventry

They were at home and had a day extra rest to us, excuse ready !

we need to win this or we start to slip back down. win and we get back into the top 10
so we have no proper RB cover and no other CB . Central midfield is thin with only noble .

we need new players

I think we just need fit players. If we had a full squad to pick from, we should be comfortably winning this one (with all due respect to Brighton)

With all due respect to Burnley, we should have beaten them yesterday. As dear old Greavsie would say, football's a funny old game.
However, yes we really ought to be beating this lot too!

brighton are the most in form team we have played recently.
we got done by Watford`s power in midfield and by burnley`s aggression all over the pitch.
brighton combine both of these attributes so a tough game ahead.
hopefully pelle will have them ready. we need to start well.

any news on Hernandez, zabaleta, Balbuena and arnie ?

we need all 4 back with us asap. I can only see zabaleta and arnie making it.

1-0 hammers Antonio COYI

4-5-1

Obiang and Rice holding, Noble in front of them with Snodders and Diangana (Antonio if Zabaleta is fit to start) supporting Arnie.

Fabianski

Zab/Antonio
Diop
Oggy
Cresswell

Diangana/Antonio
Rice
Noble
Obiang
Snodgrass

Arnie

Soak up the pressure, hit them on the counter a-la Southampton and stroll off with another three points.

West Ham v Brighton at the Thunderdome. The very thought gives me PTSD after making one of my rare visits in the fixture last season.

You can get turned over when you've done ok - like when we played Watford - or you can have an abomination - like yesterday. I'm hopeful that it will have reminded the players that they need to be on it against teams like this; they'll press, be aggressive and pretty direct.

Guessing Balbuena won't be playing a part? I'd hope Zaba will be back so we can have Antonio further forward.

George...no, no Anderson. I thought he looked jaded and off the pace against Burnley and would benefit from a rest.

If it ain't working, then having him come off the bench at half time would give us the chance to switch to a more attack minded formation...maybe 4-3-3 with one of Noble or Snodders making way.

Our new bogey side. We just can't seem to beat them. I'll go 3-0 west ham.

Personally If I was Brighton I would just look at the Burnley game to find the blueprint on how to beat us. Burnley nullified our attacks out wide by sticking 3 on Anderson and 2 on Antonio as that's our main approach to our attacks as we have no creativity centrally.
