I think that is coz of lack of movement.Burnley Hammer wrote:Great game, good performance, and an excellent 3 points. One complaint.... why do we always play it back to the keeper from an attacking position, for him to then hoof it and lose possession. I just don't get the tactic.

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Arsenal: match thread
I remember after the poor start about 7 games in having a debate on twitter because I could see the potential and what Pellers was trying to do!!
It was never going to start quickly, and there will still be inconsistency.
Like a child trying to walk, falling over at first, then, shakey at times, when you think they've got it they hit the floor face first but next minute they're running!
If we invest properly in the summer again and give Pellers what he wants we have some exciting seasons coming up!
Don't get me wrong Arsenal looked average at best but our defence kept Aubameyang quiet today. After an early chance when Ogbonna & Diop parted like the red sea I thought here we go... but fair play. Back 6 were fantastic. That tackle by Rice of Lacazette was a thing of beauty, his awareness is beyond his years.
It's great being positive again and looking upwards!! COME ON YOU IRONS!!!!!!

Other than their front 2, none of the other nine players that started the game for Arsenal today would get near our team.
Great performance from everyone today.
Laters Arnie.

We must make sure that we keep him.......
Pellers that is, not Arnie.
I thought we played some fantastic stuff today, and while the consistency isn't quite there yet, I look forward to watching us play at the moment. A massive amount of credit must go to Pellegrini.
As for Arnie? If he wants to go? Let him. Make sure he goes for the right price though.

Went old school today and listened to the game on the radio and loved every minute of it. Haven't seen any of the game yet and will wait to see what the butchers in the MOTD Editing department come up with tonight but it sounded like we had a good grip of the game for most of the time. Commentary was complimentary about how comfortably we saw out the win.

Don't know if anyone has complimented Zabaleta yet but what a pro he is. Up and down the pitch, works his socks off. We'd be in ***** street without him I know that. Just my opinion of course.

They were bang on. It was excellent game management from Pellers and the boys.It was like watching Juve, or Milan at their catenaccio bestChicken Run Supreme wrote:Went old school today and listened to the game on the radio and loved every minute of it. Brilliant performance from us ... in years gone by, I’d have been sitting on the edge of my seat for the last 42 minutes after we scored. Today, we bossed them and l’arse didn’t really throw anything at us that we couldn’t handle. Many good performances on the pitch and of course, Dec was sublime and is a real joy to watch ... so much time on the ball - as well as Moore, he reminds me of Trev too. Nasri looks good too.
If Arnie is off then we do need to replace him as AC is a bit one dimensional compared to him.

A couple of seasons ago I was worried he was going to be overrun at the back. Now he bombs forward at 90 mins in abandon.
