this could be a problem cause he does look a little light weight. let's hope reo, mullins, dailly or whoever is in the middle of the park looks after him. half the bully boys in the premier league are just that and if you get at them they can't take it. how manytimes did we see carrick, lampard, cole etc wind up viera by giving him some of his own and putting him off his game!

report from munich

Post by w4hammer »

Field trip report:-

A right good party – have a look through the pic’s and they say it all!!

Farkin hot—like being in Spain.. Centre out the city to the stadium is about 25 mins on the tube, all works like clockwork-well, its German innit.

10 minute walk to the ground,..nice bit of banter with the locals…first “bubbles “ shout of the season...…ground is absolutely immense, awe inspiring- bar code turnstiles, like the Bernebau….comfortable seats with lots of space—theres’ an idea –it’ll never catch on…..no cash, so you have to keep getting a credit card wotsit..... blew about 100 euros…..it was basically a piss-up for everyone….sorry this isn’t a match report….others far more capable and sober will do that….overall they looked sharp and I didn’t think anyone looked to be taking it easy..teddy was gliding around....thomas had a couple of wobbly moments...cant honestly say yossi made much of an impression....heres a funny thing..the ref was that swedish bloke who retired after all that chelsea hassle---wiered hey?......met some old pals, and made some new ones..including the 16-strong East German Hammers---an 800Km round trip for them after work….lets give them a warm welcome when they at the Boleyn this season—they are a proper lot……drank a vast amount of beer in the ground..as had most people…it was just one big singalong and party…aweseome !!!

I didn’t see any trouble-nothing in the ground from what I saw….there was loads of OB everywhere.. there was a bit of a stand off and rumours of Bayern comin lookin, but I didn’t see or hear anything of note…we had a good time with the locals—big drink up back in town..everyone getting feverously bladdered on good beer..all looking forward to a good season…and many return trips to Europe…collapsed in bed at about 3 am…my head hurts!

hope ths pics work--look closley-you may see yourself /your pals!!

i was fortunate to meet a group of west ham fans from gelsenkirchen. they kindly allowed me to bore them silly. we started drinking in the english garden (4 1/2 litres) where we bumped into the world famous hammers in holland contingent. thought the stadium was a big let-down, and on the way, one of the lads i was with got a smack in the mouth (made his tooth go black!) from a couple of dickhead tsv types.

the game was okay (especially yossi  ).

then back into munich (two broken down u-bahns, both being good substitue saunas), more beers in marienplatz, more beers in the sportsbar, and then to the station, to catch the 4.20 train back to dresden. fell asleep, missed the ****er and lost my glasses into the bargain!

fantastic day! 8-)

sorry  but it was a very hot day, and we had to slake our thirst.....

i poked a weisswurst with a stick for you. actually, my wife says that in bavaria (she lived there for a bit) they eat them before going to bed. she could be pulling my leg, though.

Absolutely fanstastic trip.

Was on the official 'Chastours PLC' package and had a cracking time. A big :doff: to Romford for setting it all up and also to 3times who took over the leg work when Romford pulled out.

Cracking atmosphere in the English Gardens before the game...good to see many of the Kumbers in attendance.

What he said.....

Hotel was the business, transport all went smoothly, good mixed bunch with plenty of opinions (all of them wrong, unless they agreed with me) and a good drink-up. Oh, and a game of football I think.....

Many thanks to Romford and to 3Times. Cheers guys.
