From O/S....

SQUAD TO FACE SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY

MARLON Harewood will be hoping to continue a goalscoring record that has seen him net four times in his last two games as he takes his place in the squad to face Sheffield Wednesday in the Carling Cup Second Round at Hillsborough, kick-off 7.45pm.

Bobby Zamora, Tomas Repka, Hayden Mullins, Shaun Newton and Jeremie Aliadiere are the other players who featured in the 2-1 win over Fulham to be taking part at Hillsborough. Christian Dailly and Shaka Hislop, both unused substitutes in that match, are also included.

There are noteable inclusions for Academy graduates like goalkeeper Matt Reed, who is certain to at least earn a place on the bench due to the absence of Roy Carroll. Kyel Reid, Hogan Ephraim and Tony Stokes are the other Academy graduates in the squad looking for their first outings at senior level, while Mark Noble, Elliott Ward and Chris Cohen will all be hoping to earn their first starts of the season.

The team to face Sheffield Wednesday will be chosen from the following squad:

Hislop (GK), Reed (GK), Collins, Mullins, Repka, Newton, Noble, Ephraim, Reid, Dailly, Ward, Harewood, Zamora, Cohen, Williams, Aliadiere, Stokes, Bellion.

Sheffield Wednesday v West Ham United in the Carling Cup Second Round at Hillsborough, kick-off 7.45pm.
