With the fixtures coming up a very important 3 points.

A very hard listen (BBC radio essex). We shouldn't have had to go through that for the final 10 minutes or so. Nether the less 3 points is 3 point, a win against Spurs in two weeks and we are half way to the 40 point mark!

A must-win we did win. Job done. Three very important points.

But it was pretty uninspiring, scrappy stuff. As one of the commentators said a little while after we scored, "West Ham are making heavy weather of this."

Still, in days past, we'd have given up the equalizer, or worse. Well done, lads.

Excellent day for us, we're now 11 points away from the relegation zone with a game in hand on the bottom two (Brum and Mackems) and WBA and Villa in 16th and 17th.

a very satisfying result. thought mullins was outstanding again and konch, gabbidon and ferdinand did a superb job (as did the West Brom centre-halfs)

great moment when the west brom fans were singing "you're worse than your brother" to anton. back came "who are ya" from west ham with anton conducting. bet he gets singled out for praise on MOTD.

thought matty worked hard as well and pleased to seem him finish the game. repka started badly up against a lively kamara but came on strong second half and won the battle.

goal said everything about pardew's faith in the old guard. great cross from repka, dailly then showed more determination than any other player in any other moment in the match to knock the ball down and sheringham showed his class.

pardew's got a great blend and a clean sheet is pleasing. funny to hear the ironic cheers with bywater's kicking (flawless though it was).

benayoun was class in the first half and we could have had several. marlon did his bit and, a couple of alarming moments aside, we were comfortable.

great day.

Just got back.
Shoulda been 3-0 up at half time, but to be fair the Baggies had the better of the second half. Thank GOD for Kamara. He missed two sitters for them. All praise Kamara!
Ratings:
Hislop-8 Good saves, very solid
Konchesky-9 MOTM Deserves an England call up, fantastic again
Ferdinand-7 Good but beaten sometimes by Earnshaw
Gabbidon-8 Excellent
Repka-7 Very good, especially in the second half. A few bizarre decisions though...
Etherington-6 Better, but still not the old Matty
Mullins-7 Good, didn't dominate midfield but played well. Missed a great chance
Reo-Coker-6 Played pretty well first half. Must have been injured...
Benayoun-7 Always dangerous.
Harewood-8 Fantastic work rate, just wish he took more of his chances...
Sheringham-8 Cool finish for the goal and unlucky not to get another

SUBS
Bywater-7 Came on and was good
Dailly-6 Set up the goal well, won some headers but gave away of lots of free-kicks
Newton-6 No time

This was a HUGE win for us, by far the biggest of the season. Am delighted, and now off to see the fireworks.
IRONSSS!!! :D
